As a person that is, basically, a Republican,I cannot understand why a "Republican" lawyer (Mr. Brandon Bell, Mr. McLaughlin's attorney, ran himself as a Republican Candidate in Cumberland, in his District, in the 2006 Election) would even want to get involved, waste his time, the time of others, and cause a lot of undue and unnecessary legal expense when there is already a Law On The Books to cover such issues and/or incidents, such as this Primary Tie, when they occur!
And, there is even president on Tie Votes, besides our local laws, all the way down to Washington, DC wherein a Tie Vote in the Senate results in it being broken by a Vote from the Vice-President!
Why is it that when there are rules, regulations, laws and procedures in place that when it appears that things may not go the way that one selfish individual cannot accept we always have to go running out and hiring an attorney so as to try and change the rules???
To me, this is all the more reason why Mr. McLaughlin should not win! Obviously he cannot follow the law, or play by the rules?? That, then, being the case, why should we expect him, if he were to achieve Public Office do things right once he got there when he can't do things properly prior?
