Three black students who complained publicly of racism at a Cumberland high school have moved back to the District of Columbia.

I dont agree with the "go back to where you belong" statement. I think that is just a nasty thing to say. However, when it comes to "the same thing happens to whites, but somehow no one cares" is accurate. I was only one of 9 white kids in my senior class and was harrassed/insulted and sometimes even assulted through out school because of my race. And nothing was done about it, even after my parents spoke to the school. However, I was taught and have chosen not to be bitter and hold grudges, I wish others could do they same.

1) The Confederate flag was banned from the school.

2) The racial slurs continued on without the Confederate flag.

3) The students left the school anyway.

4) We can therefore draw the conclusion, the Confederate flag was not responsible for the racial slurs.

Perhaps the principal should punish those responsible for the racial slurs instead of being a press darling by garnering national headlines banning the Confederate flag and stripping students of their freedom of speech rights as has been found in court case after court case. What a fine use of the Maryland taxpayers money for education. I'm sure the citizens are proud.
