Don't change jobs!

If you remember, there were these same rumors when Massy bought out Black Mountain!

They are just rumors.

Even if they shut down a mine, any mine, they will place the people somewhere in an alpha mine.

No one will loose a job over a mine shutting down.

Stay with Alpha 10 years, your years of service that you already have count, and you get their medical insurance for life!

That, by itself, is worth sticking it out.

It's all good.

It's coming, 8 hour days, no overtime, no Saturdays , and layoffs. Bad times ahead for the mines around here, EPA is not granting no new permits, and it's been a unusually warm winter, and the coal piles are maxed out.

EPA is after the SURFACE mines, the deep mines are ok.

The 8 hours a day, no saturdays sounds pretty darned good to me.

Layoff = unemployment, that is kinda ok, but I'd rather work for my money, but I could catch up on some stuff around the house.

I do agree that there is not much demand for coal right now.

The point is this ....

If things are so bad, now IS NOT the time to be looking for another job!

pretty near all welfare people in cumberland now, with all the bad back checks, crazy checks, women pumping out babies like puppies, and not getting married so they can draw foodstamps, and wefare on everyone of them.when you do get job it lasts for a year or two and you get layed off, then you have the thieves that prey on all the others, most of the respectable people left in cumberland are all the old people that are still there.

I heard that all salaried mine personell were getting a 50% raise, a company truck, their own parking spots that were asphalted, free pizza every friday with fried chicken on every monday and that there would be an hourly person posted at the porta potties to whipe their tails when they went to the bathroom so that they wouldn't have to!

That's what I heard from a guy that was picking up cans from the side of the road!

anyone else heard any rumors?
