Kris i have a question, if you woke up one morning and noticed that the police were on your street making and arrest should i consider were you live a bad place to live, are should i think that since a person was arrested for what ever that everyone on your block is just like the person arrested. Are should i just say that person is bad.
An arrest is just that, an arrest. I have no idea what the person did. I would not judge the neighbors based on that person being arrested. Before moving to Hamilton Co I checked the sex offender registry, I looked at different crime statistics, I looked hard at the school demographics, size of classes etc. I continue to check the sex offender registry. I dont care where I live I know that anything can happen. Everyone knows what is and is not a "bad area". It seems like when we moved we were able to do a search to look for frequency of police runs in our neighborhood or even our specific home. I know some wonderful people who still live in Warren township but I know that most are ready to move. I have no doubt that there are far more good than bad children.
I guess my point is that having lived all but the last 5 years of my life in Warren township area it has changed SO much. I would have never left my comfort zone had I not started feeling very uncomfortable. I am not sure if you have always been a resident but the changes are very dramatic.

I think what Kris is trying to say is that the Eastside/Warren Township is a long, long way from what it was back in the 1980's. When I went to high school there, we rarely had fights. When there were ones, they were usually petty things like someone trying to date someone else's boyfriend/girlfriend, and even those were usually started by what we could term as "the usual suspects". The ones that today still act like that..... Anyway, it just seems like our childhood home has been taken over by "gangsta thugs" or "hillbilly skanks". It used to be a thing of pride to say you went to Warren Central, now it's usually a cause for embarassment or apologies. Keep in mind, Kris and I were raised as middle-class, suburban kids and the violence we experienced was only on the news and certainly not in our own backyards. Let's just leave it that it's a bit of fond and sad nostalgia to look back to our youth and see that the youth of today are so far gone from what our ideals are or were. Kind of like our own parents shaking their heads ar our behavior in the 80's.....
Exactly!!! Thanks Cassie.

You are welcome! So far, none of the thugs have been Asian, so I can comment without bias (I hope). If any of the crimes are committed by Koreans or Filipinos, I'm going to have to "get chinked" and post some nasties like those that defend their own race. However, I don't see that happening anytime soon. BTW, "get chinked" is a slang term similar to "acting ghetto" but used to describe an angry Asian-American.

Oops! I hope that wasn't directed at me as far as name-calling. If so, I whole-heartedly apologize if I offended you. Sometimes I forget that while my friends refer to me as "Loud Asian Chick", not everyone is so tolerant of my voicing my opinions. So, that being said, Kelvin, I'm sorry if I offended you.

She is from Warren Township.
She knows ALL about Warren Township.
She left Warren Township because of you and your criminal cousins.
Warren Township is NOTHING like it was before you and your criminal cousins moved in.
You don't think Warren Township is made fun of and looked down on because a bunch of white people moved there in the last twenty years.
It is a ghetto compared to wat it was thirty years ago.
What does name calling show IGNORANCE,So i will not respond with anger, as for the idiot comment,I will just say this 1st when you respond to someones comments, do not do so with anger it shows your IMMATURITY. Tell me if this is the definition of IDIOT: USAF Veteran,COLLEGE GRAD,Father of 6 kids, 4 out of six already college grads with another getting ready to graduate and the other getting ready to go. I own my own business and so does my wife. I enjoyed a good 6 digit income year, my wife enjoyed a high 5 digit year so i guess i am an IDIOT, BUT I AM A HAPPY IDIOT NOT A ANGRY INDIVIDUAL. You have a great day because i am definetly going to have one.

LOL..I have not been able to come to the defense of any of the white people at all!!! Look at the Reese family....They have all seemed to be total white trash and have a wonderful white trash support system of their own they really dont need me!!!
I LOVE the slang "get chinked" to funny. Of course as a white woman I think we need a "get chinked" slang too, maybe "goin' cracker"... "get opie" ... dont really know it just seems like fun.

I go back to that fact that it is all about the culture and mentality of people regardless of race.

Ha, here is a definition of an idiot.

An idiot would be someone who thinks that they have to prove their happiness and stability to someone like me.

An idiot would be someone that would reply with what you did and expect me, or anyone for that matter to believe.

No anger here, just facts.

Oops! I am also "Cassie". I used Good News to reply to some jerk who commented that hearing about the miraculous improvement of Officer Fishburn was "old news", so I tried to make a positive posting about hearing good news. My real name is long, Korean, and hard to pronounce. "Cassie" is what I've went by since childhood. I dind't want to be accused of multiple posting personalities, but my husband could tell you I have several depending on what day of the month it is!! It's nice to chat with both Kris and Kelvin...very civil folks on here. I'm just waiting for someone to bash my grammar and spelling, though. Hey, I 'm a hairstylist, not a linguistics professor...lol

I thought that might be you when you mentioned being a "loud asian chick"

Did anyone else happen to hear news reports that the 13 year old twins had been arrested 12 time this year! They had home detention monitors on when this crime occured. The best part, they belonged to a "gang" in the area who stole keys from a Cadillac dealer and cars from other dealerships.

From the poster formerly known as "Cassie"" and "Good News". Anyway, what I want to know is if these thuglets had been arrested 12 times this year, why are they not in the juvenile detention center? I think after the third time, they should have had the home detention monitors removed and orange jumpsuits placed on them! I didn't hear the news story, but if this is the case, is it any wonder the crime rate is sky-high? Geez, maybe we should institute caning!

Loud Asian chick... I heard the news on 6 news. Those two little hell raisers spend their 14th b-day in jail!!! The article I just read says that these little babies were involved in an ARMED ROBBERY on the West side shortly before the Don's Guns burglary. What the h*ll!!
here is a quote from the article.
Police said the twins are believed to be part of a juvenile gang that has targeted Indianapolis-area car dealerships. The twins have been identified as suspects in break-ins at seven car dealerships and in the thefts of at least 25 vehicles, police said.

I am at a loss for words....can ya help me???
