Dear rednecks,
When the power goes out, you treat a stoplight like a four way stop, not an opportunity to get across town without hitting the brakes. Funny, not a single car did this in front of me, only pickup trucks.

Same here in Cherokee. No power for about 30 min and everyone kept driving through the lights, you had to inch out and pray you wouldn't get hit.

Puke Energy needs to do a better job of clearing and maintaining their right-of-ways. WLOS reported that this was all the result of a tree falling on lines.

Well Duke has a contract with Davey Tree and all that works is a bunch of Mexicans that probably don't understand English.

Yes. I don't care if it's Spanish speaking Mexicans, or redneck talkin' Duke guys operating the chainsaws, the right-of-ways must be maintained well or this can happen. And its utilmately Duke's responsibility, whether they choose to do the work themselves or farm it out.

Jane Duh must be from Flordia or a Yankee. In other words she wants it and wants it now! Jane have you ever put a chain saw in your hands? Do you know how many miles of power lines they have to keep everything trimed back from? Lots of our men are out in other states trying to restore power to the ones that have been WITHOUT for a week now. To bad it was not you without for longer and everyone else had it.

I am such a goof ball...funny how I go to putting people down for not obeying traffic signals. I am sure the same driver's ed test was administered to all of North Carolina, and not just to my "red neck arse." I passed it with flying colors!!! The 'how to become a red neck" class I meant!!!
