I was on campus for most of the drill. Good thing it was only a drill becuase there are many "bugs" that need to be worked out of the system.

I looked all over the place for that yesterday after your post. I wondered if you had the two colleges confused? I guess not. I haven't looked today though. I'm sure you heard what you heard on your scanner but I didn't find it on any college blog or anything. Weird.

If they can't even get their snow days right, do you REALLY think they can handle a terrorism incident? Uh... didn't think so.

But don't worry, the Al-Quaeda doesn't know where Brevard is, and won't anytime soon.

Thank you very much.

I went to the MHC baseball game today, and was talking to a mother of one of the players. She said that her son hadn't said anything about the incident. Said her son lives off campus.

WCU, UNC system, and the State of North Carolina - these drills are good, but if you want to help reduce the impact of real incidents (God forbid), allow concealed weapons carriers w/ proper permits to bring their concealed weapons onto any UNC system campus. It's a fact that such incidents at other universities where concealed weapons were allowed have had far fewer deaths than they would have had not the gunmen been stopped by concealed carriers.
