So what was the student who participated in the 'random''prank' bragging about on facebook? Could this be as enlightening as Levi's facebook entries?

I know a lot of you would like to put this whole thing to rest, but for a lot of us 'conspiracy theorists', there's a lot that is suspicious. Number one, if it's just a "prank" as the university p.r. rep claims, who's it a prank on? Who is pranked? This is a critical question, even if it's just some drunk 'random' event.

Second, I hate this term 'random', no where was it more abused than where I attended, Duke. How was it 'random' that Obama signs were selected. They were chosen, stolen to be exact, from a place that Obama signs had obviously been stolen from before (otherwise, why the message on the tape not to steal the sign).

Finally, as a hunter, blood from an animal shot at least 24 hrs. earlier (longer, obviously if it was found Saturday night), seems unlikely. And who cares about dried blood in the back of a pick-up bed. No garbage bags or a tarp to line the bed? Sure, much easier to pull over and grab some signs, in which case, you weren't worried about the blood when you dragged the bear out of the woods? It just doesn't make a lot of sense.

Am I implying this is a cover-up? What university would want this attention? Especially one in the South in a community as progressive as Asheville within shouting distance.

masses of minorities who's only reason for voting for Obama is the color of his skin. And sad thing is, he couldn't care less about the concerns of these minorities.
The only reason ANYONE is voting for Republican John Sydney McCain is because he is white.

That includes his dear friend, Joe Lieberman.

And the funny thing is, Republican John Sydney McCain could not care less about the concerns of middle class whites or minorities...and the majority of voters know it. That's why Republican John Sydney McCain will lose...big time...he'll be lucky if he gets 160 electoral votes.

Unfortunately, most parents aren't raising their kids and before you start arguing I know because I've worked with kids for most of my adult life. I've seen the trend worsen over the past 25 years.

This is the President of the United States, not some damn Toastmasters Club.
Barrack Obama is the least qualified person to ever run for President in the History of our country, he has no experience yet you socialist freeloaders want to elect him.
American liberals are freaking idiots.
Remember we told you so, when Robin Hood really screws up the country, we haven't seen hard times yet, till he gets done with us.
Really, I am amazed at the stupidity of the American people and the media. Call me stupid, but my Ivy League graduate program diploma on my wall says otherwise.
Unlike you sheep, I can think for myself and don't need Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson to tell me how to vote. Do the math, none of his plans work, it is eye candy.
All I have to say to your rant is...Sarah Palin.

I doubt WCU wanted this kind of attention but obviously some of their students are idiots. This bear is one of several left dead either in the woods or on the side of the road recently. It only got national attention because they picked up an Obama sign instead of a McCain one to cover the bear. These "students" thought it would be funny to leave it on campus. Guess the jokes on them.

Yes, I am aware of that. I do have sympathy for a woman, and her family in that position. But there is no excuse for a third trimester abortion, ever. Unfortunately women use abortion as a method of bith control. I agree with you that progress must be made on many important issues regardless of party affiliation. And I also agree that kid's need to be aware of abstinence as well as other methods of birth control. Parents musts tep up to the plate and involve themselves in thier children's lives. And I wonder if your neighbor would have chosen to abort that child even knowing that she would have these problems later on? Just wondering.

ugly

cruel

not a mere "prank" - a prank is putting salt in the sugar bowl on April 1st

the university should be closed

maybe the entire South should be closed - you people can't even take one single topic without charging around it a hundred which ways & adding something about abortion especially

too bad there aren't more bears than people in the mountains

As to your concern of Obama's age, Lincoln was only 4 years older then Barack is now when he became president. Kennedy was 43, T Roosevelt was 42, Clinton was 46, Grant was 46, and Grover Cleveland was 47. All these men maintain an 'out of the norm' presidency (very likely due to their age, they were mocked by the conservatives. Even the republican presidents on this list were not very liked by their party guard.), yet are favored positively in our present history. So, Barack Obama is in good company.
More economists support Obama's plans then McCain's, but time will only tell if they will actually work. The one thing we can almost be certain of at this point is that Mr. Obama will be president!
As far as you having an Ivy League Diplomma, your methods of debate and the calibur of your rhetoric make that highly unlikely. You should return that diplomma to whoever you stole it from.

The seven "students" were drunk, ignorant red-necks that decided to do something that only a stupid red-neck would want to do in their spare time... kill animals and somehow turn it into a racist protest. They really make WCU look bad, and it's embarrassing to even go to the same University as these dumbasses. They just need to make a public apology to the University. After that, they can then be kicked out of school. That's what they really deserve.
