All staffs are very incompetent and rude. Do not fall for their "specials" or for the nice look of the apartments. Ever heard of the cliché looks are deceiving? Well, Catamount Peaks definitely own the cliché in a horrible way. People are warning you for a reason so listen to the reviews! That is what you are here for!!

The staffs are only nice to you when they want you to sign the lease. After that you will receive nothing but “you are stupid" attitude from them. The staffs have provided me WRONG information causing me to call them multiple times. I talked to 4 different people and got 4 different answers. Nobody knows what they are doing. DO NOT BUY THEIR FALSE KINDNESS AND DEALS. It is nothing but a front to make you sign a contract that will dig your pocket!

They make you pay for parking. I have lived at 2 different apartments during my time at Western and never had to pay a parking fee (except for the university). They will make you pay a "onetime fee" for preferring to pay your rent online.

I moved out of The Peaks 5 years ago, and we are SOOOO glad we did! When my boyfriend and I first moved in, we lived with another male roommate. Everything was fine and dandy for a few weeks...until we found out about his drug use. And his constant supply of loser stoner friends that stayed practically all night, being loud, smoking pot, drinking, and listening to the same fucking Pink Floyd album (for months!!). After a month or two, this group of guys moved in above us and it literally sounded like they were dropping bowling balls on the floor/killing and/or screwing each other. We called security on them multiple times for noise, drug use, etc...which of course was no help. After a few weeks of this, I woke up early in the morning to find a boulder thrown through the front window of my car and my tired slashed. We reported this to the police, who could honestly give a shit. They did nothing. After we moved to a 2 bedroom apartment (which was $565 EACH!! per month), things got better...for a short while. Maintenance just waltzed right in whenever they pleased. We were accused of not paying rent multiple times, when of course we had....make sure to save your receipts! We had to hide our little caged rabbit, because of course there were no animals allowed...but the owner of the property at the time had a cat in his apartment. We constantly had drunk jerks drinking and yelling outside of our door at all hours of the night. Sometimes they would steal our door numbers or door mat, but they were easily intimidated when my boyfriend came out with a bat. When we finally decided to leave because of the crime and noise, we were told we were responsible for the whole next year's rent (because we had just turned in our renter's renewal for the year...even though the rent agreement wasn't ready for renewal for 2 more months). Of course, we just packed our stuff, left, and told them if they really want a year's rent from us...call our lawyers. And of course they didn't...because their threats had no backbone or merit. Don't trust these theives!! Too much crime, not safe for students (especially single ones that live alone), too noisy, very high rent. From what I have been reading, it's only gotten worse since we left. And i'm glad we did.

I have never in my life have come in contact with someone who is supposed to be a "manager". My daughter and her boyfriend have rented there for a year. Their roomates have left for the summer so when my daughter asked them if there would be a problem for her sisters 6&16 to visit for two weeks they told her sure no problem. This was my daughter and her boyfriends first apartment ever so they didn't think to go to management they were under the impression that the roomates approval was all that was needed. This little girl who calls herself a manager found it necessary to walk in there today with my 6 yr old standing right there and pointed at her and my 16yr old as she was being extremely rude to my oldest daughter saying they need to leave right now. My oldest daughter tried to explain to her that we lived 7 hrs away and this so called manager refused to listen stating they better be gone by two. Now my 6 yr old is very upset telling her older sister she was afraid this b.... was gonna take her away. Yet when I call and I was not nice at all this child tried to tell me that she was never rude which I know is a damn lie. My oldest daughter is very gentle and nice and would never fabricate this story there was 4 people that heard her. I did not use nice language and if I was not 7 hrs away I believe I seriously ( as educated as I am) beat her ass. I I have no problem with my daughter and her boyfriend being in the wrong if they were supposed to ask management but what I do have a problem with is the way this control freak b.... handled it. She said they should have been responsible and asked but she couldn't be responsible enough to take them outside away from young children to explain it to them. I got a copy of the lease and I also reported this to the school, better business office as well as the gentlemen who owns the peaks. They have signed another lease with a different apartment complex thank goodness we were and still are gonna be there on the 31st to move them out. Word of mouth goes a long way and apparently they have never had to deal with adults who have a little power. But they will learn now.
