To Steven's family - I am stationed at Ft. Campbell and knew Steven. What a great kid, I can't tell you how much his death has affected me. I know that he missed home and loved his family a great deal. But I also know that he was proud to be where he was. In some bizarre way, I think he would have taken solace in the fact that he died in service to his country. Ignore the idiots posting here - the anger that they express is only envy of our way of life. Pity them.

You do not have to explain your son's purpose or vision to anyone who does not believe in life and secureity.... Yes Be proud of your Son he is the one that is giving those heartless people the ability to talk trash on your son.. I to am active duty and will retire in December of this year your son is " A HERO " and for his life America owes him the gratitude and heroism he now holds... My honors team told me after the funeral that this guy ( Meaning Steven ) is an American Icon.. How true how true. I hope you were pleased with the Military portion of your son's Service and we say to your Son's .......Please continue to follow in your Brothers foot steps and bring pride into your family......Please do not enter the service as a way of seeking revenge it is because of your Brother that America continues to be free, but If you join the service take pride in all you do and live up the Army Values which bring distinct credit upon you... May God rest your soul...

I too am a former Team Augmentee, was truly an HONOR!

And Mrs. C

It is through these sacrifices that we as Americans can say we know FREEDOM. I did not know your son, but as a fellow MP, it hurts for all of us to hear of a "LOST BROTHER"

Dear Mother, I very sorry for the loss of your son. My son is in the same platoon as was your son. They were friends. As a previous poster mentioned the two men who died (your son and another) while out on patrol hit their unit hard. My son has a memorial tribute to both his friends on his myspace site.

With any luck, when the murdering piece of filth you raised gets what he deserves, some other turd can put him on a memorial tribute with myspace. What more could any sicko mother hope for?

Christofferson, was a great SOLDIER, COMRADE AND A FRIEND. My son was also in his unit and it has been pretty hard on them. Thanks to them fighting overthere keeps the bad guys from fighting here where possibly we could loose so many inocent lives. God bless everyone overthere and keep them safe and bring them home.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Army Spc. Steven J. Christofferson and all the brave women and men that are fighting for freedom. May God be with them and strength them and keep them safe.

It amazes me how you cowards can hide behind your email and post such awful comments concerning the soldiers that volunteer to protect the Iraq people. I think it would do you good to go to Iraq and see how the United States is helping this country. I can speak from fact as 3 of my son inlaws are currently serving in the Armed Forces. 1 served in Iraq for a year and I have have another there now. The 3rd is on his way. I do not require a response, However until you live what you comment, you should keep your comments to yourself. Responding to this woman the way you have is uncalled for and an apology should be forth coming from you. Somehow I feel another gutless, non thought or unfactual email will be on its way. God Bless you and your family Judy C, your soldier is in Gods hands.
It amazes me that anyone would make such "ungodly mean statements" regarding our fallen heroes. I agree that, an apology should be issued.

I have grown up respecting the United States Military, my great grandfather a former slave fought in the Union Army during the Civil war for freedom.

I was a little girl during World War 11, my brother in-law paid the ultimate sacrifice at sea, my uncle was gas-ed and came-home a vegetable, my father was drafted and serve even when he could-not vote in the southern-states.
My husband served during the Korean Conflict and my grandson is serving proudly in the air force.

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to tour a I former death camp in Germany and when I got back to American I wanted to kiss the ground. I am proud of our military and pray that God will give our leaders wisdom and will comfort the families and friends of the fallen.
