El Monte man stabbed in Santa Fe Springs

A man discovered bleeding Tuesday night told police he'd been attacked by several people for unknown reasons.

El Monte sure does get a bad rap. There are bad areas in every city, L.A.,Whitter, and Santa Fe Springs. Yes there are streets in El Monte I would not walk through, but I am sure every city is the same. Last time I checked, Santa Fe Springs is not Beverly Hills. I grew up in El Monte and I think I have done ok. I work for L.A. County, my sister is a police officer, and my younger brother is a doctor.... Yes a doctor and he is mexican. Oh my, that cant be. I'm not going to judge nor criticize the story but merely share my feelings. I agree with Sad from Whittier, ca. It really is getting to the point to where you can't even take a stroll down pretty much any sreet nowadays. You would think, in this day in age with DNA, forensic experts, America's most wanted, etc, criminals would think twice before commiting any sort of crime.

I have something so say about people that post cause this isn't the first time I have seen this. There are good and bad in every race. Not all Latino's are gang bangers, not all white's are racist and not all blacks are drug dealers. When you live life criticizing and stereo typing people you don't know, you could miss out on having a really great friend. Maybe if you were more confident and secure about yourself, you wouldn't have to put others down to lift yourself up.

I'm sorry this happened to your family member in Santa Fe Springs. I have lived there for 35 years and it used to be a nicer city. I think I know where your cousin's car was and if it's were I think, it's not really an alley it's a back area where there is more parking. I park my car back there sometimes to go into the market. I hope he's OK, please remember not all people who live in Santa Fe Springs are bad, just like anywhere there all kinds of people. Praying for him. Hopefully the city council will start doing more about all the problems.
