Immigration reform advocates rally in Saratoga
#1 Feb 17, 2010
Reform it by turning them all back. 300+ million. We have all the people we need. Canada has what, 33 million? Australia (a continent) has ~ 21 million.
If there are any reforms needed it would be to be a bit more selective in who we let in, not to open the flood gates for the waste of the world to come running in.
#2 Feb 17, 2010
Agreed. Let's start by throwing you out.
#3 Feb 17, 2010
Saw it as televised. The person interviewed said,
"We here for...".
Did the news interviewer ask him: "What you want boy"?
~It be okay dow, dat ask and dat word dat-daa be sayin'!~:)

How can you call the system broken when it is not being used?
#7 Feb 18, 2010
I didn't see any mention of what they "want" and what their ideas of reform was except the women wanted to go back to Cuba. Reform...what does that mean? Do you want anyone to be able to just come to America and get free services, education and medical and get state job hiring quotas on immigrants? What is it you want to be reformed? Don't we do enough?
Can we get anyone from the group to at least give us an idea of what more they want? The news stories mention nothing.

The plan is once Queensbury becomes it's own state (or country) we're going to send them all up there.
#9 Feb 18, 2010
LOL Queensbury is going to become its own state? haha why please share
#10 Feb 18, 2010
Yup, and now that they won't have the burden of downstate, they'll have tons and tons of revenue. They will also need citizens, because cows don't count. So with all that extra money, and needing citizens, we'll just send them all of the immigrants.
I know...it's a great idea...it was really hard to fit it all down in the palm of my hand.

I love this... Poor, illiterate, unskilled people come from crappy third-world countries and start telling us what they want.
Well, instead of immigration-reform, I wan "immigrant" reform. That's where you learn to speak MY language, and I don't have to pay for your education, food-stamps, daycare...etc.

Provide a plan to controll health care
Provide a plan to fix the economy
Provide a plan to create jobs
Provide a plan for anything!
No wait...they have no plan, no leadership, no ideas...
to provide us a list of the

As a small business owner i have recently noticed a surplus of illegal or legal immigrants(mostly mexican)in this area. Im gonna guess and say most are illegal unfortunately. I for one am not gonna stand by and watch America go down the toilets!!!! as a husband and a son i have watched my father and my wife serve and protect our country in foreign wars, and i am gonna start my own....Every construction site i see with these aliens I stop write down the name of business, license plate numbers, and address and I make a phone call to the better business, and INS. These are small steps but hopefully it helps, and u can help 2.......Hopefully our government will start aswell.where is this ICE program where is our pride and where is America headed?

Hey, Sarah. You don't need your hand. Do what I do. Have someone else write it for you and just read it from a teleprompter. But remember to keep chanting in your mind, "hooked on pa-honics werks fer me".

The New Colossus
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips.
"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
Emma Lazarus, 1883
That is on the Statue of Liberty in case you didn't know.
What happened to America? We used to be a shining beacon of salvation and freedom! Come here, live with us, build a better future with us.
And now I read these comments saying GO HOME! We don't want you! Just us Americans are welcome here. We don't help anyone, not even ourselves!
Need you further be reminded of our nations history?
Why don't you kick yourself out, your an immigrant too?

The Statue of Liberty is a monument commemorating the centennial of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence, given to the United States by the people of France to represent the friendship between the two countries established during the American Revolution.
Standing on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, it welcomes visitors, legal immigrants, and returning Americans traveling by ship. It in no way "welcomes" illegal aliens.
The statue is the central part of Statue of Liberty National Monument, administered by the National Park Service. The National Monument also includes Ellis Island.
The Ellis Island federal immigration station opened on January 1, 1892 to inspect and process LEGAL immigrants, whose first sight at arrival by ship, at New York was the Statue of Liberty.
12 million LEGAL immigrants were inspected at Ellis Island, by the US Bureau of Immigration.
Those with visible health problems or diseases were sent home or held in the island's hospital facilities for long periods of time. Then they were asked 29 questions including name, occupation, and the amount of money they carried with them.
In the 35 years before Ellis Island opened, over 8 million immigrants had been processed locally by New York State officials at Castle Garden Immigration Depot in Manhattan.
Some unskilled workers were rejected outright because they were considered "likely to become a public charge."
About 2 percent were denied admission to the U.S. and sent back to their countries of origin for reasons such as chronic contagious disease, criminal background, or insanity.
The Immigration Act of 1924 greatly restricted immigration and allowed processing at overseas embassies. After this time Ellis Island became a detention and deportation processing center.
Illegal aliens are NOT immigrating legally, are NOT being processed, are NOT submitting to criminal background checks, health checks, etc....
The Statue of Liberty has NOTHING to do with illegal aliens.
It stands for LEGAL IMMIGRATION.
If you HAD an education, you would know that.

Illegal Aliens?...are they the ones from Mars.
Illegal Immigrants are the ones from other countries...right?
I don't really have an education, so I thought I should ask.
