I'm Larissa's father. The lady in the car in front of her was a dr. and did everything she could to help her. I met her at UNMH. When they got her there the trauma surgeons did everything they could to save her life. She had so many internal injuries that they just couldn't do it. Larissa was the love of our lives and touched so many people. I talked to the state police this morning and they have no idea as to what happened yet. It is a needless acident. She was on her way down here so that we could go find her a new car for her graduation and she was leaving for London and Paris with her grandmother on Wednesday for her graduation trip. Both her mother and step father Ron and me and my wife Loreen are devistated that this happened. Her brother Dave so was so so close to her got to the accident scene and couldn't be with her, but we followed the ambulance to UNMH and were there when they told us they couldn't save her. All of the people at UNMH were truly upset for such a senseless loss of life. We are truly grateful for what time we had with Larissa and will truly miss her all the rest of our lives. All she wanted to do was to go to school to become a pediatrition to help kids throughout her life. She is still with us and now she is in heaven with her cousin Charley who died 8 years ago and she loved to no end. She was truly a very special and one of a kind person and there is a hole in our hearts that she is gone. I love and miss you Larissa.

I just found this post. I dont know if you'll ever get a chance to read this, but I'm Ron's daughter. Larissa was my stepsister.

Jennifer, this is certainly a surprise. For several reasons actually. One, I had heard that Ron had a daughter but I don't think we ever met over the years. If we did, I'm sorry that I don't remember. And secondly, that you came across this post from 3 years ago. How did you do that? Were you around when the accident happened? There have been a lot of changes going on since the accident. We set up a memorial scholarship in Larissa's name and we have granted 3 or 4 scholarships. The last 2 just in the past 2 days. They were given to Kaitlin and Ashley Kraft. Larissa was friends with Kaitlin and their dad has worked with our family for 35+ years. They are going on to nursing school.
Dave is in Farmington working for me at that location. So where are you at? Do you have much contact with anybody or how well did you know Larissa?
