Actually, the Democrats had a very slim majority in the House from January 20, 2009 to January 1, 2011. And in the Senate, only had the necessary 66 votes to bring a cloture vote for 24 working days during that time, due to vacancies, death, illness, recesses, etc. So while the "they had total control for 2 years" sounds like a good argument, it doesn't hold up to closer examination. Neither does the "socialist", "Marxist" meme. There's simply no evidence of any socialist-style legislation or agenda being advanced by the current administration, unless of course the person making the argument has no idea what socialism or Marxism (they're two different schools of thought) really is. As far as the Democrats controlling the Judiciary? That's just silly.
And if you figure in the 'Blue Dog Democrats', those disposed to voting with Republicans as not, the ' very slim margin ' is likely gone!

NO SURPRISE: NBC DOUBLE STANDARD - ROMNEY SECRET TAPE FAIR GAME, OBAMA REDISTRIBUTION TAPE NOT

On her MSNBC program this afternoon, NBC News' Andrea Mitchell said the network would not air the clip of then-State Senator Barack Obama endorsing redistribution because the network could not "authenticate" the clip.

"Authenticate the clip?"

LOL.......typical liberal news media. Obama must have a twin somewhere? Oh wait, no.....someone dubbed in his voice.

Yeah, that's it!

The whole indication of this is that he believed when he's elected, that because he was raised in that country, and has an understanding of the way they are, or the way they believe, they would accept the peace between countries and the world would be a better place.
Nothing has been further from the truth and he was elected. Things are just as hostile, nothing has changed with those people and nothing ever will in spite of him or anyone else. Just because he understands how they "are" means nothing to these people. They resent us, always have, always will. Just like binLaden said.....
And just what Ron Paul has said all along:
"The attack on the US consulate in Libya and the killing of the US Ambassador and several aides is another tragic example of how our interventionist foreign policy undermines our national security. The more the US tries to control the rest of the world, either by democracy promotion, aid to foreign governments, or by bombs, the more events spin out of control into chaos, unintended consequences, and blowback."

Well said ,Jay.
Unfortunately Ron Paul did not win!We have nothing but Romney and at least we have Paul Ryan!Vote for them, anything is better than Obama! He has used this position, our Nation, and made things worse.

You really should read the articles you link before claiming something to be a lie. Politifact was commenting on the accuracy of a political ad and rated the ad "Half True", not surprising for any political ad really. But in the last paragraph, PF said: "In our lengthy discussions about this claim, we considered everything from Mostly True to Mostly False. We’re not weighing Obama’s courage or the bailout’s success. We can say the claim the current companies "repaid their loans" is accurate but leaves out important details and context. On the larger bailout, it’s too early to say how taxpayers will make out. This statement is partially accurate but leaves out important details."
Notice it says "We can say the claim the current companies "repaid their loans" is accurate, but leaves out important details and context". So saying that it's a "LIE" is incorrect.
The Forbes piece is an editorial and bases its argument on one person's opinion and more than a few assumptions, predictions, and outright guesses. GM may go bankrupt again, it may not. I hope it doesn't.
Sorry not a lie! If the US Govt. still controls 26% of the shareholdings then THE LOAN IS NOT REPAID! Either they owe the US Govt. or they don't there is no middle ground on repayment of a loan. If you're going to dispute my argument the provide some factual information. As far as it going bankrupt, Would you buy their stock today @ 24.32? I can tell you as an investor myself that this stock is going down hill without bailout money, but thats my opinion. If forbes says it's not a good buy then I would suggest you stear clear of any short term gains on this company.

Whites are still supporting Obama in huge numbers because he is still the most honest, honorable qualified man for the job.

Bigots in congress, wealthy racist businessmen wasted precious billions and collecting donated millions to keep frivolous law suits in the American court system trying to prove President Obama was not born in the US or that his birth certificate was a fake, so he could not be on the 2012 ballot in some states. All cases were proven by the courts to be right wing conspiracies and lies and political dirty trickery. If only that time and money had been better spent creating jobs instead of promoting hate and fear and blocking the president at every turn.

Mitch McConnell:
"The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president." I thought the Republicans ran on their number one priority being JOBS. They apparently forgot what they promised. Not surprising.

This is how they set about sabotaging Obama's days in office and in the process sabotaged the US economy.

The stimulus package, passed in 2009, when Democrats controlled Congress, increased the number of employed by between 1.4 million and 3.3, so it was a success. What killed the progress was when Republicans won the house in 2010 and began Austerity policies (Austerity is what flung Europe back into recession.) State and local governments were thrown under the bus by the GOP (Spending was evil, yet they shoveled money toward friends with defense contracts and investment bankers.) The Republican austerity policies have killed 611,000 jobs; if not for these jobs cuts the unemployment rate today would be closer to 7%, not its current 8.2%. In 2010 and 2011, 457,00 public sector jobs were butchered.

During his first days, congress displayed their contempt for the President by Republicans holding citizens hostage, threatening to shut the government down until the very wealthy could keep their tax cuts,(fact: congress gets paid during a shut down), by reading the Constitution aloud, and by blocking any and all job bills by the President. Republicans think so little of the sheep that follow them blindly that they symbolically (pointlessly) voted to repel the Affordable Health Care Act 33 times, after it had become law. It cost us 50 million tax dollars for such pointless votes.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/11/heal ...

These are a few examples of wasted time and taxpayer money but it's easier to blame the black guy instead of the ultra conservative congress members and wealthy conservative business owners like the Kochs, and Trump who have successfully held this nation in a state of paralysis until one of their own could take over.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/ ...

You can elect Mitt Romney and more Trickle Down Republicans who still believe the failed Bush polices work and this nation will drift back into a recession. It will enter the Depression we narrowly escaped if Romney starts a war with Iran.(Very likely considering his foot & mouth problem) Take a look back at what Republican polices and war did to our economy and will do again if we let a Trickle Down, Friend to the 1%, Republican return to office.

What the left does not understand is Obama is anti-business partly because they don't understand how it impacts them. They don't understand that if my taxes continue to rise then I will simple either go out of business or I will move my business to a country that is friendly to me or import my goods instead of buying American goods for my company. This is simple economics. I want to buy American goods but Uncle Sam has gotten in the way of my wealth creation. When the left can undestand that my job is not to create jobs it is to provide for my family and that job creation is a byproduce and not a direction action.

If you are, in fact, in "business" then you should know that your tax burden is lower now than at any time in the last 50+ years. Job creation isn't a "byproduce" of anything, it's a function of demand--demand for the products and services your business provides. I rather doubt "Uncle Sam" is the one getting in the way of your wealth creation--it's more likely the face in the mirror staring back at you.

All I hear and see every day is that Obama is leading in all the polls and if you see or hear differently then that is a racist republican lie and it is still Bush's fault. Okay. Well, if that's true then I guess I need to go ahead and adjust my family and myself and get ready for Obama's second term.

We've started a new family tradition. Every Friday when I get my paycheck I will go home, load the kids up in the 1999 Buick and head downtown to the red-light district. I'll teach the kids how to tithe to Obama and the democrats because it's the law now. The kids and I will hand out money to the prostitutes for their birth control pills and their STD ointments. Those taxes have already been taken from my check but I need to actually show the kids what they have to look forward to when they start working. Next we will scoot on over to Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics. I guess a blank check to the regulars will be sufficient in this case. Then we will go to a dollar movie if we have any money left. I will sneak out into the lobby and drink a 16oz coke and hope like hell I don't get arrested by the soft drink police. Moving right along we will go to Wally World and purchase some poster board and markers and make signs to protest that evil, evil, evil McDonald's before heading home.

A day in the life of the new, modern, American, middle class, poverty stricken family that Obama relates so closely to!

Other important breaking news tonight...Gloria Aldridge was on Dr. Drew praising the democrats for taking up her lifelong cause...women's rights. You remember Gloria, don't you? She is the 1% Hollywood lawyer that is famous for getting huge settlements for some of Tiger Woods whores/mistresses. Now those women are 1%er's too and I wonder if they went to Jay Z and Beyonce's fund raiser for the Big O.$40,000.00 per plate to hear Obama speak about how closely they all relate to the middle class. I'm sure we would all so feel warm and fuzzy inside just at the thought that Beyonce and Michelle Obama in their beautiful gowns and Jay Z and Barack drinking some Grey Goose and munching on caviar can actually relate to the middle class struggle of American citizens.

Now I can go to sleep peacefully knowing how much better my life is going to be because the polls and BS-NBC told me so!

The LBJ "voting against anti lynching" quote is found in several place including the Senate record and his campaign speeches.
"I'll have those n--ers voting Democratic for the next 200 years." -- Lyndon B. Johnson to two governors on Air Force One Ronald Kessler's "Inside The White House"
"These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness.
