"I'm hoping this trip will relieve the frustration that we have as Navajos in terms of getting those benefits and opportunities to our people.".....yeah....yeah ...

They've been doing this for seven years and nothing to show for!! I imagine that they have travel stipend, per diem and travel cards issued them by the tribal gov't.
Tribal delegates travelling for free and using their own money is unheard of!

Might as well quit since they ae in it for themselves...

just a show they put on every year, spending money left and right for whatever pleases them. veterans actually do not get any type of funds, they did last year but it was gone in no time.

Well, I am surprized at you'all saying stuff about me and my boys on our way to DC. The money I took from the personnel fund only pays for everything, otherwise it could still be sitting there collecting dust. I'll chat with u'all again when getz back from DC.

I agree. Here's what one delegate told me weeks ago. The speaker hasn't put out any funds to prepare them for a trip to DC nor do they have a specific reason to lobby on. I think it's a waste of tribal funds to make these trips to DC. They're already bickering about the economic crises, yet they make this trip to drink, show off their so called harleys as they shine their wheels, new tires, and those free tshirts as one stated below. That is very sad! It's MEMORIAL DAY!! Come on Navajo Nation!!

These folks need to stop using tribal funds to pay for their trip to DC. They need to open up a lemonade stand and sell lemonade to raise money instead. What a waste.

Many, many, many more meetings. with voters that can not sign a simple petition to get rid of the "fabulous 88" I know I have job security.

C'mon people stop hating!! Ever see Navajos riding Harleys to Igancio. Picture a Navajo dresssed in black leather attire, feathers dangling from handlebars, sunglasses, and a headband,it looks really cool. Just as long as they trade in the fat, homey sqauw for a curvy Mexican(they look Native), those people on the east coast will take a real notice.
