Me too I registered at a home improvement show in Hoffman Estates and some days after that I got
a call that I won a free trip to Vegas and we had to go to Cristal Lake for a presentation that lasted 3 hours they make sure you have your credit card with you since you enter, after the give some free trips asking who has more 3 or 7 or 5 in your credit cards of course everyone wants the trip and everyone shows their credit card I dind't want to buy their membership but at the end my husband decided it was a good idea we paid them $259.00 and when we got home we realize it was a mistake we called and cancel and everything was fine they return the money we thought it was over but recently they took the money again we have made a lot of calls and no one give us any answer does any one has started a legal action against this company we would like to join

I wish I was able to do more research on this before I went. Unfortunatly on the phone they dont give you any details. I wish I would have seen all these reviews and saw the things I read on before I signed a contract for $6900. Fortunatly I live in illinois where they have a 3 day contract cancellation law. I am sending the contract to Global Connections Inc. with my cancellation request certified express mail to ensure they get it on time and I have record of it. I hope I can get my money back. If not I will contact a lawyer. I'm not sending it back because I think GCI is a bad deal, I just refuse to give a company like Global Travel the satisfaction of a sale. I will cancel my contract and if I choose to use GCI I will purchase their services directly. Global Travel and Daniel Gold are a scam and very deceiving. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM LIKE I DID!!!!!!!
Did you hire a lawyer?

I just bought the Global Travel membership for $4900. I hope it provides the value they say it does. I got 4 stars/weeks, passed on my gift and 4 express weeks. Based on the comments above, I wonder if I could have gotten this for $2,900??? Not sure how I feel at this point until I utilize the vacations.
Did you ever end up going? Just curious. I went to the seminar last night and almost bought one. But we didn't have enough money to put down. So we just took our "gift" and left.

I would be more concerned if there negative comments from actual members who have used their program. So far though it is nothing but non members complaining. Not one person who owns it has something bad to say about it that I have seen.
Are you an expert in selective reading?

all of the so called great vacation entries on here are all part of the ploy. The people I am trying to help with their scam and payments heard the same stories. The 'slick' talk is for folks who need time off, who really could use and deserve a good deal and are being flimflammed out of their sox! BEWARE of the good deal charlies... if it is too good to be true...then don't.

These folks 'bought' the deal....and are paying for a dead horse. 20% interest and endless payments...on and on including the 'maintenance fees'! they never get to use. I am going to get more legal help for this family. I am just not savvy in such scams. Yup.. They bought hook line and sinker and I mean sinker. Please, don't listen to the so called happy customers.

Yvonne, I'm a little confused...
Are the last lines in the post yours? Reason I ask is in the narrative you state you are prospective customers who declined, but in the last lines you ask people to join you at an office to see what you're about. Did you decide to take a position w/ the company or are you volunteering your time? I'm assuming that any of the above would indicate that you had a change of heart and bought into the program.

Listen, either your use of the English langauge is severely constrained or you are simply not intelligent enough to pull off a scam. Try again under another pseudonym, but this time, re-read your post so that it isn't as obvious.

Better luck next time. Here's to someone pulling a SCAM on you and yours.

Linda my dear , my husband and myself went too. We must of been in the same room on the anniversary night. I am sorry you did not enjoy yourself. However we had a wonderful presantation, my husband and i enjoyed listening to the sales pitch, and learning how to save monies on future travels. They treated us respectfully, offered us water/coffee, had free parking, and a spacious waiting room. We told them no and they respectfully accepted that and walked us out to our car with thanking us for our time. We got our gift and went to Mexico last week. We couldn't believe how nice the room was
If YOU are interested in this, please call the office to set up a time to check us out and see what we're about

<quoted text> The gifts they are giving away come from an ADVERTISING BUDGET. MOST COMPANIES SPEND HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS - THIS IS ANOTHER FORM OF ADVERTISING- WAKE UP IT IS NO BIG SECRET! I went thru this the travel voucher saved my family aprox.$1,500. and allowed us to take a fabulous trip that we otherwise wouldn't be able to have taken especially in this economy!
It's very interesting that they have trained all their phony reviewers to post in ALL CAPITALS.
