How do y'all think the band is doing? I mean do they have what it takes to make it to state again?

I doubt it... usually by this time of the year, you'd hear a lot of stuff about MJB.. but all I've been hearing is how strong the pearsall band is. I heard they blew away the home crowd on Friday with standing ovations and everything. I think that pearsall will have the best chance in the region..

Of course they just can't stop working hard because when pearsall played in SA me and my family went to go see how the band is doing and wow they are small but they sounded like a damn 5A like what happened last year they sucked! So kids just don't stop working hard okay because just know that pearsall is probably goin to try and knock y'all out of state! So just work hard and do good GO MJB!!!

In region 11, Fredericksburg has the best chance by far! Maybe followed by Boerne and then Carrizo/Pearsall/Hondo

Yeah it's the same thing ever state year right?! Youl come on here and talk about us doubting us. How many times do we have to prove youl wrong? I've seen the band, hidalgo, Pearsal and KINGSVILLE and by far they are the cleanest and best. Pearsal? Idk what youl saw. Carizo has a Mickie mouse show. We've beaten fredericksburg so many times and u think they have the best chance. The drill ad music and clarinet solo is more than enough toget the band to state. I'm in Kingsville getting my degree in music and I'VE BEEN TO STATE AND SEEN THE BANDS youl have no right to say who has a chance because until You truly know music u can't just say there better. So why doesn't everybody stop writing about mjb and worry about their own lives! Your not the director, staff or marchers so u have no part in MJB because its obvious your not a supporter so ur not welcomed. MJB is doing great and I guess wel have to prove youl wrong like every year youl write about us

No, actually the band and band members try very hard to keep everything under wraps. They don't go off and boast about themselves. They are humble and let their marching and playing do it for them...unlike most bands, ie.(PEARSALL), so maybe that's why you haven't heard much about MJB. And instead of gossiping about them why don't you go see them and all of their competition instead of just listening to what you have heard from others who obviously don't know what they're talking about.

I can tell you this, our band knows what's at stake and understands the long tradition to up hold.

One thing I can confidently say; unlike Carrizo, Pearsall etc. is we have excellent directors, talented musicians and "ANIMO!"
The show will come together and what I mentioned will separate MJB (as it always has) from the rest of the field.
"Upheld in 2012" see you at the dome ;)

I have seen the band n spoken to directors. Our mighty band are very talented n young. However, they want to b the best n they r working very hard. I think that this year the band is performing over 70 sets. That is hard to master not like Carrizo, pearsall, Hondo, that they do only 45 sets.

It takes about 8 weeks for band students to learned it. It takes another 3 weeks to refined it. However, when competitions gets here, the band students will excel n we should b proud of the accomplishment.

Whatever dude! Y'all are going to a USBands Competition in Laredo and they base the classification on band size. Y'all are class 3 Open with only one other band with band size of 81-115 total players, which happens to be a 5A band from Laredo (which will hand you your lunch!). Good Luck! LOL! I guess y'all can brag you were second place (but make sure you tell people it was out of two bands in your classification).
