It's great everyone listed has been succesful in their education fields. But we shouldn't forget that just because someone doesn't have a degree doesn't make them less succesful. A person with integrity, hard worker whether in the fields up north or fixing automobiles, someone who supports their family and loves their spouse and children before anyone else and sacrifices to take care of them is just as a successful person as someone who has a doctorate or medical degree. I know you all meant "succesful" in a money-makin way, but don't forget about families in crystal who are poor, but decent, honest, hardworking, God-fearing individual.

So true they 2 should get recognize for their hard work. But yet some of these people get put down because they are not "OF MONEY" meaning wealthy.

Remember it is not how big a salary you make, it is how wise you spend your money. There are people without a degree who have more to show or perhaps a bigger bank account than those who have a college degree. Nevertheless, Congratulations to those who attained a higher education, those of us who didn't perhaps could not afford it or did not have the educational knowlege at that time to go to college. But it is never too late to GO BACK TO SCHOOL.

Let's not forget Attorney Roberto Alonzo who also made it as a State Representative and is a wonderful person and has always pushed younger individuals with his all famous comment, "puro para adelante" with education. He's an awesome person. I was blessed to have met his acquaintance and walked door to door registering people to vote.

If we were to recognize people for their money, then the drug lords and the lawsuit recipients would have to come first. These doctors, lawyers, etc. are the ones usually recognized for their effort and success in outstanding careers. The knowledge that comes with those careers cannot be bought. I salute them, as well as others like teachers; their dedication to help others and to dedicate their live to students is also to be commended. Kudos to those that
became nurses like Melissa
Garcia and Carmen Perez (maiden name).
