THE mayor Link is not the real mayor

He dont live in Olympian village.HE making living in the Village a bad name .if a person ask about something . he has the cops come out and mail people tickets geting money off the peoples back.and taken their wright away he thanks he god. and a hot head ,he think he king of the village and making it unsafe to live here we need help bad.

Everytime I see the town of Olympian Village in print (Pirate Jacks, Journal, Leader, and now here) I see some writer slinging mud at someone else! This means the only thing I know about OV is that people who talk about it insult other people.

Could anyone write something nice about OV for a change? Seriously! This is bad publicity gone wild!

I can remember when I lived there years ago it was not like that. There was no power struggle between the politicians there and the police seemed to be pretty good, even though they were not paid and had not attended the academy, as is required now. Like I said, it has been a very long time since lived there, but I did enjoy it, had fun and I actually go back and drive through when I come home to visit. Still have friends who live there, some have passed away including my father. Everyone I knew on Thermopylae Pass, the street I lived on, have moved on, including me. Now I am in Dyersburg, TN after retiring from the military. If people there are getting into office for the power, you need to rethink what you are doing. Olympian Village will never be a hub of Jefferson County and will never be one of the larger towns of Jefferson County. Just, for a lack of a better phrase, "get along and go back to the peaceful little place it once was". There was a time when everyone there knew most everyone and got along for the most part.

Like most things, times and people change, sometimes for the better sometimes not. This little community that Homer Price built up use to be a fun little place, put it back to that time... Bobby Byrum Jr

you know ov is a nice place to raise your kids the politic problems are because our governer blunt and sherriff boyer and everyother gov.officials arent doing there jobs to check into or fix things so if bobby doesnt or does live here who else wants to work for the city for free?

My family has lived here for many years,we have seen people come and go.And elected officals rise and fall.We have seen good elected Mayors,Alderman,and some bad ones come and go.And if a Marshal or Police Cheif asks questions they are gone.The peolpe of Olympian Village are being cheated from there elected officals everyday.The get good public serverants in and they are run out or forced out if they do there job,or ask questions or dont do the unproper bidding of there supervisours.

It is a nice place to raise a family,that is about it.Stay out of the politics,and dont speed,mow your grass.And keep track of your sewer bills{they are known for sticking you}.

You are 100% correct. I used to patrol the streets of OV and I loved it in terms of the community. The good people of OV are in dire need of a able bodied PD, which they had when my self and few others were there. But we wanted to do our jobs legally and honestly, and there is no room for that while the Links and Diane Warren are in control. They have their hands the city's pockets, I've seen it. When I tried to do anything about it I was fired, along with several other very good officers and the evidence vanished. I will advise you all to know Lt. Victor Folk is not to be trusted either, he's their pawn, for $100.00 extra a month, he does whatever he is told. Many support Bob Link, but also know that he is truly not the legal Mayor, Antonet Casey is. I am not a Casey supporter, I just support the truth.

You are 100% correct. I dont consider Bob the mayor. The real mayor is TONY CASEY. We can thank our wonderful board of aldermen,city clerk and a few select citizens for the situation we are in. This city will continue to go downhill until we have a new mayor,2 new aldermen and a new city clerk. And it does matter if Bob lives in here or not. There are laws and state statutes that do apply to Olympian Village. With any luck these people will soon realize that there are laws other than the laws of Olympian Village. Laws that are real and not made up by the Mayor, city clerk and aldermen to benifit them. Our mayor claims to live in a shed. Where is his occupancy permit, running water and sewer? The people of Olympian Village need to grow up. You just cant accept change and thats to bad for you. We have more revenue now than ever before and you people still have to complain. I for one am glad for the Williams they have done great snow removal for us over the years and their apartments are very nice. You people are just so jealous that its pathetic. Grow up and get a life of your own. Leave them alone. If it was me that you guys was harrassing and talking about like you have been doing to them I would have sued you a long time ago.

Actually the taxes were lowered NOT raised and the only ones who want to dis-incorporate are the same ones that have nothing better to do than cause trouble like they always have. THEY are the ones that are giving Olympian Village a bad name. Its a shame that so few people can stir up so much trouble.

I have lived in Olympian Village for a while now and I have just stood back and watched all of the
crap that has been going on, But enough is enough already. Jennifer Johnston, Eric Fischer, and Toni Casey just to name a few have done nothing but cause trouble to anyone they can. Are you people afraid of change or just plain jealous? Mr and Mrs Williams are trying to improve this city they have done nothing wrong. You complain about the apartments that are worth half a million but you dont say a word about all of the old abandoned trailers and junk that people have. If you knew anything at all you would know that those apartments raise the value of your home. If Toni Casey was such a good mayor then why did she do all of the stupid stuff that she done, such as digging up peoples sewers (if thats not a DNR violation then what is). You point fingers at people and dont even know the facts. If you would just shut your big mouths for five minutes Im sure you could learn alot but people like you wouldnt know how to do the right thing for once now would you?

You are right the taxes did go down. I recall our fine mayor stating that him and the board had nothing to do with the tax rates. I guess we got lucky on that one... We wouldnt need to worry about disincorporation if we had the mayor in office who was legally voted in. Not the one who pushed his way back in!!! I guess you can consider me one of the people who cause trouble. Anyone who doesnt fall into thier crooked game is a troublemaker. I would rather have the title you have given me than to be associated in any way with these people. All of the wrongdoing that has gone on and is still going on I have seen in BLACK AND WHITE FROM OUR CITY HALL!! I take no ones word for anything in here. I believe the facts and they have been proven to me. So now people say we have more revenue in here than ever. Where is it all going? Maybe that should tell people something. How can someone claim to be the mayor when he does not live here? And how can this person impeach someone we voted in to be mayor, when he does not live here, can someone please tell me how this came about, and where did this power come from? I am so confused! This hippie wanna be mayor is just snowing everyone and getting by with it, when will it stop? and another thing I cant figure out is why Cody F.(one of our non elected aldermans) is riding around with Rumping, shooting his fat mouth off? I thought it was against insurance policy for anyone to ride in the officers car, if you want to call them that! If the insurance covers that, then I think they should take turns, and not let just Cody do it, and further more, when the officer has a vehicle pulled over, he, they, need to stay in the police vehicle and not get out and pretend they are the law and shoot off their mouth! Please help me understand why this keeps happening!

those of you who think Link is doing a good job, HELLO- do some research and show up to the meetings, OH Im sorry, everytime we try to let people know there is a meeting, they drop our signs, that should give you a clue! I will post a meeting sign in my yard, and if you want to mess with it, JUST SMILE for the camera!
