I have never in my life been somewhere where so many people from a small town can NOT drive! I really loved it the other day when I was trying to turn right and another car was half in my lane and she looked at me like it was my fault she had to back up! I am not sure if this is taught around here but the RIGHT lane is for SLOWER moving vehicles, LEFT lane is for FASTER moving vehicles. So generally if someone is coming up behind you and you are in the LEFT hand lane, MOVE OVER! Unless of course you plan on turning left within the next 10 or 20 feet, NOT 2 miles down the road! And it is NOT necessary to slam on your brakes when the car in front of you (who happens to be 3 car lenghts ahead of you) hit their brakes. I could go on all day, people running red lights, people blocking the intersection at Wayne and Pickwick in the mornings while turning left. If you drive in Savannah you know what I'm talking about. If you get offended, then you are probably one of these bad drivers. Everything I have said is common sense. A lot of people here are lacking common sense.

Mine says Clarksville, too. What's up with that?

What I want know is where did the morons get the idea that they can't turn at a green light if there is no oncoming traffic? I hate being behind someone who thinks they have to wait for the arrow, no matter what.

Then there are the idiots who drive like a bat out of Hades to turn out in front of you, then poke along 15 MPH below the speed limit. Have you noticed that more often than not, these people have handicap tags? Makes you wonder.....

I have driven in big cities and small towns all over the place east of the Mississippi River and have never ever encountered such a horrible driving experience as I have right here in good ole Savannah. I would consider giving up driving and just walk, but pedestrians are not safe from the idiots either! Leaving the house in a vehicle or on foot, it is basically a quest for survival till you get back home.
Wondering

Does anyone have any info on a wreck that was supposed to have happened 2 Saturdays ago where a girl left her two kids in the car and it rolled across the highway and down off the levy? I heard about it but have seen nothing on the news.

for laughing at this post, I agree with you, as I have lived in many places over the last 15 years, and there are bad drivers everywhere, but with such a huge concentration of them in a small town..just baffles me. Do they not teach drivers ed here?

I was wondering if some people got their licenses out of a crackerjack box myself.

We were following two heavy equipment vehicles and their escort truck up 142 through and past Shiloh Park close to dusk yesterday. The first vehicle went over the double yellow line a few times and once went way over the line halfway into the oncoming lane starting up the hill. Then the escort took off and left them way behind.

I saw a bumper sticker once that said "Hang up and drive. It's a car - not a phone booth"
