Are you sure that is what is happening? Because if you don't know the person well and don't know all the details, you could mess someone up very badly. If there is any doubt, it might be best left alone. Just my opinion.

well this person claims disability and lives down the road from me and there is no way. it really disgusts me. i can't believe their lifestyle. plus the two kids get checks because of the disability. i could probably say the persons name and you would know it if you live in savannah and you would say "they are disabled. i would have never thought that" and your next question would be "How in the world are they disabled?"

yeah but don't you feel it is wrong. when you have people out here with cancer and actual disabilities and they cant get hardly any help. you know that you pay for their disability. its under medicare taxes on your check stubs. i guess thats why so many get away with it people don't care. this person is not disabled on the boat on the river skiing and 4 wheeler riding and ridin a riding mower up and down hills. on top of their big suv washing it. i just dont get it. i work hard for my stuff and have accumulated a nice little business but man it just eerrks me. i am a hard workin person.. i dont know...

Maybe their disability is something besides physical. Some people have seizures so bad that they can't hold a regular job. I don't think that I would be water skiing if it were myself with seizures, but hey, to each his/her own.

they dont have seizures. you know what they have a good easy life. he says back trouble. theres no way.i see him doing everything. a neighbor asked me one day "how in the world do they afford all that. the wife works but he don't." and i told him he was disabled and gets a check his kids get a check and he was flabberghasted. He out works me in his yard theres no way he has back troubles. i didn't say i was going to turn them in. i am not the type to do that. i believe in Karma. what goes around comes around. i just wanted to hear everyones opinion. I believe eventually he will get busted. recently he just purchased a $40,000 truck that he has been bragging about non stop. so he will eventually spin his own fate. i hate to say when it does happen we won't hear about it as much as we hear about all his toys...

I Mow my lawn, drive a nice truck.Don't have a boat or kids (all grown).Sounds like the person you are talking about got some retro-active social security disability.(Meaning it took a long time for it to get approved). He would have a got a pretty good retro payment, now monthly and yes he draws for the kids too.But there is no fooling Social Security Disability. If he got that then the condition exist and everything is legal.

Yeah right..36 years old and disabled. He works on the side sometimes with his brother-n-law for cash. These are very sneaky people. they gonna find some way to get around everything..their kids are the same way..anybody who can go and work for cash at a job can work. laying flooring is not easy. i have no sympathy for any of them. i pay for my childrens health insurance. i work my butt off for what i have they don't. they live on the system have you ever heard of someone having all these vehicles and toys and then get inline behind them in kroger and they have a food stamp card. it just ticks me off. You can fool disability. they did he said he had to dig out his back brace when he went to court. the guy is a big mouth. a liar , and a cheat.

Just because he is 36 doesnt mean he isn't disabled. Age has nothing to do with I know 20 yr olds that are disabled.

i know 36 year olds can be disabled. you are completely losing my point. forget it. i don't get everybody is so quick to justify some one defrauding the government. i ain't worried about the government i am worried about the folks that are actually disabled and this yahoo and his family is living off money that could be for someone else who is actually disabled. i don't get why ya'll are taking up for this guy. it baffles me it really does. maybe this world is so screwed up on morals and values that everyone is giving excuses to explain his actions. i am more worried about my sister who is dying of cancer and everyday i see how much pain she is in. it took her 2 years to get disability and was told no insurance for 2 more years. they are paying every penny they have worked for in the last 30 years and paying for her medicine. i am helping pay for pain meds because as a brother i want to help take care of her and maybe relieve some of the burden from them. no i was not asked and actually had to force it on her. but $400 a month for pain meds is nothing compared to the pain and worry she faces on a daily basis. now thats what disability is for. its not for boats or new trucks or vacations. or ski boats. so when i see this yahoo and he hollers at me this weekend to show me off his new truck(he has 3 others by the way) i will smile and say nice truck but in the back of my head i am gonna be thinking on something else he and the rest of ya'll believe..good guys do finish last..but its how we run the race that really counts..

I know someone who is in desperate need of Disability and can't get it for nothing! He is a real bad Diabetic. He has worked hard all his life and is now in terrible pain from the neuropathy in his feet and legs. He can barely get around just to be mobile, let alone hands on labor like he used to do for a living. He has been turned down three or four times now.

Mmummm, why don't you google "perscription assistance" and see if there is any financial help available to help with the cost of the meds for your sister? A site called pparx.org is one and I'm willing to bet there are more.

Google the "cancer support" organizations and see if you can find an online or local support group. There you will find resources to help you cope.

I realize you are angry when it looks like to you that people are taking advantage and I get that way too. Due to the past abuses of the system, the truly disabled suffer. The people that abuse drugs are "self medicating" due to mental health issues (crazy check). They need to be subjected to random urine testing to keep their disability check coming.

Unfortunately, a lot of them don't realize that with the right medication the desire for the hard drugs will go away. Equally unfortunate is the side effects of a lot of the psychiatric meds are almost as bad as the condition itself. It takes a while to find the right dosage of the right med.

What is so bad is untreated mental illness leads to awful things such as mass murders, domestic violence, suicide and other such tragedies. Post traumatic stress disorder for the witnesses and surviving victims.

And the saddest thing of all is the thing that prevents a lot of people from getting the help they so desperately need is STIGMA! People don't want kinfolk, friends and neighbors to know they go for mental health counseling because people gossip!!! Shame on the gossiping people! Because of them, innocent people become victims of violent crime! Wake up people, show some compassion and instead of condemning, pray or try to help someone.

I'd give anything to be able to be physically able to go back to work.

my brother is bad diabetic. he comes in and at night he can't feel his hands and his wife is constantly rubbing them. he tried for disability and was turned down 3 times. he is on insulin and has to stop in his day at work and check his sugar. he was going to get a pump but he refused it. i think he was really nervous about it. he has worked hard all his life and it just makes me so mad. but good luck i hope you keep trying for the disability. neuropathy is nothing to mess with he could cut himself and not realize it. good luck to you.. diabetes is a terrible thing to have.

Most of the time you WILL be turned down three or more times.. that is because they are trying to force you back to work. Get a Lawyer, that's the best way.

And "disabled 2" I know a lot of people that are on disability and they would love to be able to work, they miss it so much and a lot of them have shame for having to accept the help. Especially when the people are on it for mental reasons, it's common for people to just come right out and ask why you getting a check and it's embrassing and even hindering for them to have to tell people they are crazy, everyone looks at them differently than they did 5 mins before. The way people gossip in this town is horrible!

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Cancer

If you have children at home they'll be really playful today and quite a handful at times. Encourage them to burn off all their energy during the day otherwise it will be a case of tears before bedtime. There could also be a fractious atmosphere between you and a loved one, and this will quickly escalate into a row if you aren't careful.
