Why submit a press release with the caveat that the data points are statistically insignificant?

It's funny how ACFR fails to point out that many of the 2nd due response have response time that exceeds twelve minutes. Also, I like how ACFR failed to mention how it "dropped the ball" at least twice in the first four weeks when it came to "critical calls"; i.e., cardiac arrests.

Very interesting that the county had to push this information out themselves. Is this smoke and mirrors again?
I did not see them mention the fact that the Volunteers are still answering 2/3 of the calls for service. And, since there was no indication that the response times have significantly improved after the County paid all of that taxpayer money (millions)to put paid staff in place. Is this just an attempt to justify Mr. Boyd's "user tax" for transport.
HARK, or, is this just another way to prep the taxpayers for a future shocking story that they need to add yet more and more ambulances to the service.SHOCK AND AWE, SHOCK AND AWE.
What part of FREE does Mr. Boyd not understand. More paid staff=less volunteers (free)=much more taxpayer money. Let me ask again in an attempt to understand, please explain why with all of the spent money that the response times have not significantly improved?

The money goes to nice new buildings, vehicles, support staff, amazing new equipment utlities, and.......... more bosses, the public? whos that? Just like the fire dept nothing is done for the "public good", only to salve the egos of politicians and chiefs.

Off topic but not by a lot, I was outside today when here comes a fire truck, parks out side the residence next door. Out pops the driver of this big fire truck laughing her arse off about what I don't know. She turns around, sees me and gets all serious like. Then here comes the rescue squad 2 minutes later, sirens blaring. In the house they go. Turns out the lady had called 911 thinking here 02 levels were low and was concerned. So here I am thinking we got fire trucks running around town wasting I don't know how much fuel on calls that don't require they're assistance, operated by jokers who don't take their jobs or the people they SERVE seriously. This after I witnessed a fire chief step out a command vehicle and confront a driver behind him who had blown his horn at him for holding up traffic. What the heck kind of people are they hiring there, its like longo and his henchmen. Professionalism is something that no one knows about in these venues. A bunch of low class arrogant twits. But again, we get what we don't ask for, right HUJA?

Obviously you have no clue how EMS calls are dispatched nor VA laws. Nor, do you care about your neighbors.
Let's review-- Basic level gets 1 ambulance; Trauma/Medic levels get 1 ambulance and 1 fire truck. The fire engine is dispatched as additional manpower/first response. Secondly, other vehicles must yield to emergency vehicles when displaying their lights and/or sirens. Even those with red/yellow or red/white even if they cannot ticket you for failing to do so. Third, I would think for emergencies that sound like emergencies in your situation... you would want them to come with sirens. But just let them know next time, walk to your place. That way they don't make a noise.

Now, where do you live?
