His own son? He stomped, kicked, flung and tortured his own child to death? Does anyone need more proof that this world is nothing but a cesspool?

To the previous commenter, have you fully evolved? That's a really smart comment, joe. What is anyone suppose to get out your comment, "another mexican"? Please enlighten us?

I really don't understand how race has anything to do with this sad tragedy... did you forget this poor child was Mexican. I've been reading comments on different pages and it's really ironic how "Mexicans" are these vicious murders. Have you forgotten that not to long ago a "white" mother drowned her 5 children, and sometime after that a "white mother" brutally killed two of her children by beating them with rocks... I'm not trying to say all "White" people do bad things, what I am saying is it's not your race that makes you this evil person.

This man was indeed a monster and the people that stood around counting the kicks this baby received are not much better!!!I hope that image haunts them for the rest of their days!

No they didn't. A local fire chief and another bystander did try and stop him. The man was crazed. They heard him say that the child had demons.

People - Simply, we are talking about a man that clearly had some pre-existing mental issues. If this doesn't spark an outcry for a referendum on healthcare reform, I don't know what does.

YES. Healthcare reform. How unfortunate for a person to be a walking, talking ticking timebomb. Walking around until he finds the right trigger to set him off.

Wake up people....We need to connect the dots on this one!

Where was the mother? Why was she not protecting her child? If she left her child with this sick man who needs help, she is just as much to blame!

(okay, let's see how this reciprocation of typical sexist blame plays with the feminists)

Listen hoser, the "reciprocation" you're going to get is because you're clueless. Why bother making a comment when you don't know the facts? ANYONE who's spent more than 2 minutes reading about this tragedy knows that the mother was out of town when this happened, and furthermore there has been nothing revealed so far to indicate the father HAD been known to have any issues, so based on the info we have, she'd have not had too much reason not to let her husband watch their child.

That being said, I'm glad the scumbag is dead. I don't care what kind of saint he was prior to that night, he deserves to rot in hell.

But you boneheads that show up to the discussion weeks later, from OUT OF STATE and then want to just stir the pot again, can just pack sand.

LOL! I am very aware of the facts, I'm just trolling for knee-jerk idiots...and apparently I found one! Your response is pretty much what I expected to hear. It doesn't matter what a woman will do, dim-wits like yourself will fall all over yourselves to place blame on the closest male....and get outraged when the genders are reversed, which you've proven by your 'panty-in-a-wad' response. By the way, I've lived in Santa Cruz longer than you've been alive, I'll bet. If you had a clue, you'd know that the forum profiling is full of wrong posting locations.

...oh, and if didn't like having the pot stirred again, why'd you perpetuate it by responding to my sophomoric post?

The trouble started at midnight and didn't end until 0600?
(Whe the 'girlfriend' got shoved off a second story balcony)

Gee, I wonder if meth was involved?

Nice attempt at covering up the fact you hadn't educated yourself on the facts, hahaha! Though I love your choice in verbs -- "trolling" -- because that IS what I suppose a "troll" would do.

Unfortunately for your "cause" I didn't respond the way you expected, and it wasn't "knee-jerk" at all...I thought about the words I used very carefully. Definitely for a longer time than you spent reading the articles surrounding this tragedy.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I didn't pull the feminist card, nor did I place any blame "on "males", but you DO seem to be awfully concerned with picking on women, and you're disturbingly facinated with wadded up panties.

Maybe if you work really hard on your personality you can get a real, live woman?(Oh I'm sure you'll tell me you're already married there in "Santa Cruz"). Mmm-hmmmm.

You can have the last word...(because I know you want it). Have a nice day!

Smooches!
