Man in fatal Arundel crash is identified
A man killed late last night when his vehicle overturned in the Bristol Hills at Herald Harbor community in Anne Arundel County was identified this morning as Scott David Lawson, 42, of Crownsville, according to police.
The 10:55 p.m. accident occurred on Herald Harbor Road near Chambers River Road. Police said Lawson was driving a 1996 Oldsmobile Bravada east on Herald Harbor Road when he lost control and went off the left side of the road.
Anne Arundel police said the car spun clockwise and traveled about 65 feet before it rolled onto its side and slammed into a large tree. The vehicle then burst into flames. Police said Lawson was pronounced dead on the scene. Read more
