If the school were staffed with competents, it would have a fortified computer system of its own, separate from the non-faculty. Making all of its resources available on-line is an invitation to trouble from the curious as well as the malevolent.

Regardless of whether or not their case has merit, a $6 million dollar lawsuit for being expelled simply showcases how simple-minded these parents are.

How do they even begin to justify "damages" or other due compensation anywhere near that amount. Tuition maybe, but $6 million? Get real.

Regardless of whether or not whatever he did was actually "hacking the network", its a private school, meaning they own it-- its not the governments school. So guess what, they can expel you if they feel like you don't "represent their quality of student". Their house their rules.

I know, look at the attrocities of the Bush adminstration, Wall Street, and the Banks. The rewards - re-election and bailouts.

Typical right wing response when you say something they don't want to hear. Just another Hater. That's why these right wingers are no longer in power - people are tired of the Hate and the pathetic state that this country was in when Bush left office.

And as for your hero - The presidency of Ronald Reagan was marked by multiple scandals, resulting in the investigation, indictment, or conviction of 138 administration officials, the largest number for any president to date
1 Iran-Contra Affair
2 Department of Housing and Urban Development grant rigging
3 Lobbying Scandal
4 EPA controversy
5 Inslaw Affair
6 Savings & Loan Bailout

You are a joke. BTW, I'm independent. Unfortunately, if you were smart enough to understand the facts, you would realize that the Bush adminsitration and his cronies nearly brought down this country. It's amazing how Obama and the Dems have prevented another Depression and making sure everyone has access to health care like all the other industrialized countries. You can go follow Palin and Limbough and all their Hater followers and try to bring the right wingers back in power with their lies, finger pointing, divisiveness, and maybe you can finish the job in taking this country down. But I doubt it because the majority of voters got your number and don't want to hear about it anymore.

Not only are you clueless but ignorant as hell. I didn't know Bush signed NAFTA, and the Gramm-Blailey-Leech Bill. Or when Bush was chair of the banking committee and relaxed the Fannie/Freddie lending rules.

"prevented another Depression"? Huh? Were we in a depression? Heading for one? NOPE. But Obama did spend his way to a double-dip recession. Good job Obama. Let's give him a huge pat on the back and two thumbs up for prolonging the recession, quadrupling our deficit (to be doubled again in 10years), and will cost the average tax payer 7-10% Fed tax increases in a couple years.

God damm you are one ignorant clueless blind fcuk. Not wasting my time on someone with blinders on, smokes crack, and drunk on Obama kool-aid. You must live on Clay St or in the projects down Forrest Dr, and an Annapolis HS dropout.

"nearly brought down"?!

Uh, I think that the only thing that Bush et al succeeded at was destabilizing the U.S. and the Middle East for decades, if not centuries, to come. Consider us fully brought down.

Blame it on loser-haters like yourself with no vision, no understanding, no compassion, no ethics, but lots of ignorance, selfishness, ego, and hypocracy.

Being expelled from any school for a committing a crime on campus will limit the opportunites that student has for higher education; therefore, "damages". Do you really think that private schools should be allowed to expel students at will? Severn School's "quality of student" is a joke. I am a graduate of Severn.

Absolutely, without question or hesitation. The operative word here is PRIVATE, you pay for a privilege to attend. You f up you get expelled. Public schools it does not matter, they have to take you, it is the law.

Ok, I currently go to Severn. The mother of the kid was a middle school teacher there and she she was incredibly stupid. This kid was also very weird and he hacked in to change his grades.
Also Severn obviously has the right to expel anyone, especially if they hack into the system.
Another thing, why the are are talking about Obama on this article.
Lastly, Penelope and Doug, you two are very stupid.

Spoken like a spoiled brat. Pretty stupid yourself. Do the brats teach you how to cheat at Severn like they do at Severna Park High?
