We don't need to expand marketing, we need to reduce taxes and offer a better quality of life. A lot of the tranfers are coming from places with either a much cheaper living cost -or- only being an hour from Manhattan or the beach. Hardford County is not an upgrade! The only place that offers an upgrade is the City. Bungalows in Hamilton, and spacious townhomes with views in the city. With the appropriate tranist (rail) and lowering of property tax we are in business. Yes a good education would be nice, the city does have the best schools - they are expensive.
Small minded, we could be breathing life back into the City, instead we are paying for the Inter-County Connector (bad move on many levels). The city has the infrastucture and potential quality of life and transit. Let's shoot for a more sophisticated and enivied Maryland, not another Pennsiltukey. This is beautifil State that is worth perserving, and not giving into the 1950-60's out dated Freeway lifestyle. Afterall, driving sucks! Instead of Rednecks and ghettos, let's go for civilized, responsible & much more!
