Prayers that who ever is elected to this office...that you reduce the ridiculous council from 88 to 24 council delegates because it is costing you a huge loss of revenue that could be going to the people. Also, would you try to do a better job of getting projects done? Desert Rock ain't gonna happen. Chicken Farm cracked apart. Don't hire your husband (like Shirley hired his no-college-degree wife in a plush job) as a cabinet member. Don't hire questionable people who are there for the money only. And please Mrs. Lovejoy, get rid of the entire news team down at the Navajo TIMES! even though Tom Arivso, Jr. the publisher is your first-cousin.

This woman can't speak in public. She is going to look like a fool as President. She needs to start as an Executive public information officer first. Maybe take over George Hardeens Job.

This news is a relief. I'll support her in every way. Lovejoy is reserved and chooses her words carefully which is important in Navajo protocol. She fulfills her current role effectively and without fanfare. The leaders now are ego-driven and have forgotten to honor the mannerisms and respect of their mothers and grandmothers.

Go Lovejoy Go!
It would be great to see you as Navajo Nation President, although it would be a loss for the New Mexico State Senate, much as it was when Sen. Leonard Tsosie became a Navajo Nation Council Delegate.
How about Leonard Tsosie running as your vice president?

NM House Representative, Sandra Jeff, was an avid supporter of Linda Lovejoy in the 2006 Navajo presidential election, but these two people have since shed their loyalty due to Jeff’s verbal altercation with her colleague Patty Lundstrom of Gallup. Jeff felt that Lundstrom had a soft position on Uranium. Lundstrom represents many Navajo constituents who are directly haunted by uranium toxicant. However, in a stupid political move Lovejoy vouched for Lundstrom’s integrity and indirectly called Jeff a liar. With Uranium, there can be no compromise. Does Lovejoy have the mental and emotional qualities that distinguish an individual leader?

Lynda Lovejoy hires Joshua Lavar Butler as her campaign manager. That really worries me, for Mr. Joshua Butler is Speaker Morgan`s Press Officer and a BIG defender of the current Navajo Nation Council Delegates. He covers up for the Legislative Branch over their BIG spending sprees, the longhorns, gold rings, repealing of Dine` Fundamental Law, waiving of tribal laws, Harley rides across USA, etc. For now, I doubt Lynda Lovejoy, for she had my support and vote. As a matter of fact, she will start losing her supporters for having Joshua Butler as her campaign manager. Speaker Lawrence T. Morgan and the Councilmen have been hiding behind Joshua Butler. Lynda Lovejoy is making the same political mistake that Larry Manuelito did years ago. Mr. Manuelito thought he was going to win the presidentcy in second time. Lynda Lovejoy better replace Joshua Butler before people start asking her some real, hard questions about him being part of her campaign staff. In myspace, Butler praises himself for being in charge of Lovejoy`s 2010 Navajo Nation Presidential bid. Check it out.

How does that song go? "What have you done for me lately?". Well, since her lost, what has Lovejoy done to help Navajos? If nothing, then that's exactly what Navajos will get if she gets elected.

better watch out for MEXICAN style politics, with anyone who can "finesse" their way around the NM Capital..

I figure that's what got the Navajo Nation in YOUR $zillion$ dollar shortfall..

better do more RESEARCH on all the candidate's.

I'm not working for or supporting Lovejoy during this election. We need a political outsider in the office, not the same old ones that hop around between the state & tribe and vice versa.

Lovejoy as president??? Have you seen Lovejoy's "myspace" page? Lovejoy claims to be 45 years old. Any person who has laid eyes on Lovejoy can know for certain that she is way over 50. How can anyone trust a person who would lie about their age. How could anyone entrust such an important role (like the Navajo Nation Presidency) to someone who is "ashamed" of their true age. And furthermore, "Leonard Tsosie". God forbid he ever take an active role in Navajo Nation government ever again. Tsosie has been reprimanded with the Navajo Nation Bar Association. I can only assume he like Linda is claiming to be something he is not.

Same with Ivan Gamble ( another Lovejoy supporter, too) and Josua Lavar Butler on thier myspace profiles. What a group of liars! Here they want us to endorse their plans for Navajo Nation. Kim, you are right about Lynda Lovejoy. Check out navajonationconstitution (that`s Ivan`s profoile) and Johua Lavar Butlers age on myspace again. Dishonesty is taking place before summer campaign ing begins.

There is nothing promoting Sen. Lovejoy on the www.myspace.com/navajoconstitution site. Only two candidates have presented strong support for Dine' national constitutionalization of our laws: Ben Shelly and Harrison Tsosie. Sen. Lovejoy requested more information...

Last campaign in crownpoint area, she claimed, her husband did all the improvement to BIA roads,of course, with her help, which was nothing close to truth. We live there, and yes we know he worked for BIA roads. never heard his name anywhere, him getting funds or other improvement. Most elders don't know who lobby for funds or who's plan it was, to improve communities?. So she claim most of it. Elders agree. She spend most of her speech criticizing others, did not hear solutions or solid plans. I wanted to vote for her but after hearing 75% of some hardcore criticism during her rally at my chapter house. I think not. Need some one have a plan and solutions to today's issues. No promise, just a plan, work that plan, solution, work that solution.

Sorry folks, her quest for presidency is not going to happen. You and I know that. She is so snobbish that she will fail to look down. She doesn't have the courage to change things so everything will continue "status quo." She just likes the novelty of being the first woman president so you Republicans do something you're good at like blaming other people for your mess and fighting with each other to get to the top.
