I think any attempts to arrest people affiliated with criminal activity on the Navajo Nation lies in the hands of our tribal delegates/law makers. Currently the Navajo tribe will not extridite law breakers even while a person might be wanted for a number of crimes outside the jurisdiction of the Navajo nation. What that says is that criminals can hide behind the soveriegnty of the Nation to protect them. If a person is arrested on the Navajo Nation that person should be extradited to the state, county levels if they are wanted for crimes committed outside the Navajo Nation. It makes no sense to keep harboring the lawbreakers only to allow them to commit the same crimes on the reservation.
