I'm originally from the south side of chicago. My wife moved us to Merrillville IN. This is the only thing in my life that I have regreted,(moving to Merrillville). I had no idea that their was this much scum in Indiana. PATHETIC LOOK FOR YOUSELF ON 61ST PL

i used to live in merrillville and i happen to know the kid that boy shot. infact that kid ment a lot to me.. i would think people changed out there.. but im guessing l not.. i love you anthony white..

That is right. I did compare the South Side of Chicago with Merrillville IN. Why did I compare them? Because I can, I lived on the south side for 21 years and never did I have the police at my home. On the other hand I have lived in GARYLLVILLE for only 5 years, and because I insist that the local punks dont lay on my car. I have to deal with an embarrassing scene of squad cars at my home. With the police arressting these punks for harrassing my wife and family. I never intended for my kids to grow up around such scum. If I affended you I appoligize, however you have to understand my point. Maybe in the spring you can purchase my home. From what I understand I will be lucky to cut even. 50 years and still here

i knew anthony infact i knew him well he definently was a chick magnet at school and an amazing friend, he always had us girls laughing. always.... its hard to know he's gone... just knowing hes safe though helps me cope with it.. i love you anthony white.

by the way not all of merrillville is bad get that out of your head. there is bad people but not EVER once when i lived in merrillville did i see a gun. not once. so stop thinking that merrillville is a bad place.. people are messed up. but that doesnt mean everyone is....

I'm a lady that attends merrillville high school. i never even knew of anthony until i came to school to take finals and our principal read it over the morning announcments. I never heard anything after, and everyone crying abruptedly stopped throughout the day. It was sad he wasnt recongized for his untimely death. Though I've heard hes made death threats to people, rumors should've been subdued, when a person (especially a student) dies there should've been recgonition. I don't care who you are.

its not that people stopped crying because they dont miss him. they do but ceying wont hepl and everyone out there knows it. anthony wouldnt want people crying because he died. he lived a life that he enjoyed. anthony never killed anyone. andthony would ever hurt a fly. hes a great guy and no one can sit there and act like you actually knew him....

Hey Bill maybe you should have spent a little money and got a house in the nicer part of town. If you have ever traveled in Merrillville (which i'm sure you have) then you would know what the town is like.

[I grew up in Merrillville, (born in Gary) and it used to be a great place. I moved to Indy in 83 at 25 and 25 years later I am glad I did. Merrillville is becoming the new Gary or should I say is the new Gary. I had two friends that were veterans of the Mvill police department and couldn't wait to retire, and did.
