reading these posts here I realize that "liberals" are more closed minded than "conservatives"!

Left-wing Marxists have been shoving "tolerance and inclusion" down the public's throat for years but can't stand it when the other side has any fanfare. Liberals....take your so-called "political correctness" and your hyper-sensitive whining and shove it up your arse. Go to Starbucks, talk sh** about the U.S. and it's traditions and history all you want.

Amen. I wish all the best for this cafe. The real shame of it is, that this is getting so much press. It's a shame that we have descended so far that a place that is pro-american causes such a stir. A place like this, with attitudes like Dave, Jill and Bill's, should be the norm. God bless the owners of this place.

Well, let's see, we can't have elitist lattes, fancy Italian names or hippie fair trade stuff. So what does conservative starbucks serve? 50-cent cups of leaded, coffee-flavored tar, brewed from beans grown by slave laborers in Guyana, with trans-fat laced creamer and a shot of baby seal blood? AND DAMN PROUD OF IT! SCREW YOU, HIPPIES!

I got this e-mail from my Daughter who currently lives in Naperville, IL. I am a Conservative Independent and share many of the feelings related by Mr. Beckham. RE: the cost of gas, the USA once controlled the market price by determining how much was made available on the market. As the result of liberal Democrat policy, we have abdicated that responsibility to the Arabs who clearly are NOT OUR FRIENDS. We posess KNOWN QUANTITIES far in excess of all the Arab producers in the world but we can't bring it out of the ground. Some of theae supplies can be to the piump in less than a year, not the lies that the Democrats have been telling us. Where do they think tha terrorists are getting the money to buy the arms that are killing young American Men and Women? It's not the TOOTH FAIRY! The Saudis are one of their largest contributors. I suggest that the Democrats by-pass the middle men and send their contributions directly to Al Quida, or Hamas, or the likes of them. If putting more fuel into the market won't make a difference, as stated by Ms. Pelosi, why is she suggesting that the President release the oil held in reserve in the Saltdomes along the gulf? Can't have it both ways!
Face the truth, all these foreigners want to get into the our country because they realize that the USA it is a BETTER COUNTRY THAN THEIRS! Lets go back to being PROUD AMERICANS and stop the Democrats and "Republicrats" from apologizing for who we are. Then again, part of what makes America great is that we allow the likes of Pelosie, Reid, and other fools just like them to make absolute fools of themselves in front of a worldwide audience.

By the way, since I'm here...

This is a lie: "We posess KNOWN QUANTITIES far in excess of all the Arab producers in the world but we can't bring it out of the ground."

Utterly false.

Maybe if you got your news from the "liberal media" instead of from wingnut chain e-mails, you wouldn't be running around spreading lies.
end the smear

I'm no geologist, but I'm willing to bet that it takes a lot longer to explore, finance, build, drill, extract, refine, and bring to market gas from the continental shelf than it does to pull it straight from reserves. Pelosi's positions are far from contradictory.

But drilling offshore *sounds* like it would help increase supply, so it must be a good idea, right?(it's also easier to justify if you pretend like there are no negative externalities to such drilling)

"As the result of liberal Democrat policy, we have abdicated that responsibility to the Arabs who clearly are NOT OUR FRIENDS."

Um... Bush hearts saudis

http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dc/docs/imag...

Gas before George Bush =$20/barrel
Gas now =$120/barrel

But Bush mustn't be to blame...it had to be those liberal democrats and their having controlled one of the three branches of gov't for almost 2 years. right.....

"Coffee gets us through our workday. It's what we drink before we make steel for the rest of the country or head out into the fields."

A business owner should think twice about cutting out a large portion of his potential customers. Liberals buy coffee too. Also, just because you cater to conservatives, doesn't mean they'll come. Just serve great products, in a spotless environment, with incredible customer service, and advertise the heck out of the business, and you'll be better off. Jackson Coffee Co., 201 S. Mechanic St., Jackson, MI 49201.

Noodles wrote: It's OK to have bookstores where you can't find an Ann Coulter book (even though each of her books has gone #1).

The National Enquirer is a #1 selling "news" paper. McDonalds is one of the number one selling foods, and Britney Spears consistently makes the top-10 Internet searches, thus proving there is no relationship between volume and quality.

it has become so sad to me that those who ostensibly love america the most, display the least respect of our basic tenets, like freedom of speech, of and by the people, separation of church and state, all men are created equal, not to mention those of the great leaders of the religious world who suggest love thy neighbor, kindness, and acceptence.

i would guess the same people who think trying to constructively criticize ourselves in an introspective way, to improve, don't realize that 300 years ago they would have been torries, supporting the king (the then conservative view) of england, opposing the sons of liberty, who were the founders of our country.

the same mindset, like mr. beckham, who probably thinks taxes are bad, probably screams because roads are unpaved and schools are falling apart and crime rises.(i personally don't mind paying taxesw for these things,
as well as i live here.)

in fact he might check one day to find out our anti tax president actually made his fortune off a half-cent sales tax in arlington county that actually financed the building of a new baseball stadium: when the team and park were sold, george's share, in the millions, came from that tax and the backs of those who "make steel and go out into the fields" as much as anyone.

or, that if you believe in peace--like jesus, or the buddha, or moses--you are an umemployed leach sucking off taxes (see bush example above: looks like one must be rich to do that).

it is sad that some of us would rather be so dead right, believing something as specious as "peace through superior firepower" actually works, when we have viet nam, afghanistan, and iraq as examples where all firepower does is destroy, prolong, and alienate.

but, mostly, it is sad that in america there appears to be no room to think liberal if you are conservative. i don't mind if folks like beckham want to think, for example, that peace through firepower might work (even when we see it doesn't) but, i should be able to believe in peace without being dismissed as lazy or stupid.

after all the conservative certainty regarding how to handle issues the last years, relative to that actual success, i would like to think a modicum of humility might strike once in a while, along with snap judgements.

although as long as beckham runs his business the way the conservatives have run the country, maybe he better dust off his resume because he is not going to be in business long.

not to mention the irony of having to go back to those falling apart schools people like him refuse to pay for to earn a living.

i need to give up on these florida forums. It seems no one is available for an intelligent debate. Y'all would rather take the time to use close-minded judgements to show that you think a coffee-shop based on close-minded judgements is wrong. If any of y'all feel like talking about our political spectrum, and why it's in need of a complete overhaul, feel free to email me at spamonly@securespeed.us To the rest of you god-loving morons, have fun in the modern-day gulags that will come about because we spent the last 10 years sh!tting on eachother rather than uniting to take this lovely country back.
