There have been many complaints about the speeding and it's done no good.
But thanks for adding another one. This little One horse town will regret it when something happens and they get sued. The whole town will testify against them

Let's talk physics. How does one catch up to a speeding vehicle? Do they go slow? Do they drive the speed limit? Did you actually stand out beside the highway with a radar and catch them going 100mph? Or better yet... are you one of the speeders he pulled over and you are just pissed that you got a ticket?

By the way, the question of how one catches up to a speeding vehicle was not a rhetorical question. I'm expecting you, or someone who agrees with you, to answer that question. You obviously have a better solution so please share with us how it's done. I forget the level of ignorance down here in the south.

There is nothing wrong with speeding to catch a speeder but I think what they have a problem with is a pig seeing someone going seventy(while decelerating) and the pig will sit there for a few seconds and then gun it through town.
When I see them doing that I cant help but picture them holding their head out the window and going WEEeee!

The officer's lights and siren's should take place of his rate of speed.

Issuing tickets to people who speed is something officers do because speeding in certain areas may be dangerous. So when a police officer passes someone going 15 mph over the speed limit you have to take in to consideration the amount of time it takes the officer to stop, turn around, and catch up to the person speeding (who has also continued their course without having to slow down or stop like the officer). That is why the officer accelerates to catch up to the speeder. It is also to stop the speeder before he has and/or causes an accident. Speed limits, like the ones in Chillicothe, are there for safety reasons. If he didn't stop that speeder who then hits a kid crossing the highway you would then be asking "where were the police?!"

Possibly Simon is a cop or a badge bunny.
People accuse Chillicothe of being a speed trap and I would be the first to disagree but if anyone, and I mean anyone was stopped for driving through town like the cops drive through town, then not only would they be ticketed but they would certainly be arrested.
It is only time before they hurt or kill someone and the city council will be saying how they tried and tried to get them to slow down.
