Buddy here's what I'm going to tell you...

You buy cheap Chinese crap and you GET cheap Chinese crap!!!

I don't care what any magazine says....Fuzions are CRAP!!!

The Japanese....Yamaha...Suzuki... etc along with Can-Am (the best IMO)...are all light years ahead of these Chinese CLOWNS and their bullshit!

Good luck...you're going to need it!

I agree with florydyan still with the Japanese market, Kawasaki Teryx, Yamaha Rhino, Polaris RZR and Ranger are top contenders not to forget the Can-am Commander.

Dont waste your money on off brand stuff I know of someone that just purchased one and within a day need a starter.

I like this one.

http://www.atv.com/manufacturers/yamaha/2012-...

Yeah...I know people that went the "Cheap Chinese" route and guess where their ATV's are now?

In many cases you can't get parts for them....frames crack...clutches are CRAP!...try getting a shifting fork for your transmission?

Seriously....how hard is it to do some on-line research BEFORE YOU BUY?

Think about the time it took to earn the money to buy it, and then think about whether its worth a
few hours on the internet to determine if its a good choice or not?

I've had a lot of dirt bikes...Penton....Husqvarna..M aico...Suzuki...Yamaha...Honda ...and ridden just about everything else that ever existed...Bultaco...Montessa.. .Hodaka...Can-Am...Kawasaki... you name it!

This Chinese crap is a "SACRILEGE" to all the brands that have gone before it that were BETTER even 30 years ago.

Finally someone that has some common sense! You sir sound like you been around the industry all to long. Love me some old vintage bikes.

Anyways.. cheap isn't always good, you will run into problems that people wont care to service.

For instance.. working in the industry the Chinese market has KILLED our youth atv sales That is companies IE the big 4 Kawasaki Suzuki Yamaha and Honda do not make a 50cc atv, because some one can spend 800 dollars to a guy on the side of the road claiming to be a "dealer" of so-so atv's.

Of course people are going to bite on a 800 dollar atv compared to 2000 on a name brand bike. Duh.. People also fail to view long term. Is johnny going to beat up this atv and/or dirtbike to the point that hey it will need cables, bearings, spokes, etc.

Its sad really I have a 1983 Jr50 that I can literally get every single part to restore that bike to factory condition, surprising the metal tank I can still get.

Everyone has said it.. You pay for what you get.

Whatever happened to two wheels?

My first bike was a Suzuki 90...they called it a "Honcho".
It has a dual range 8 speed transmission....4 high and 4 low.

I got nailed by the cops doing 65 in a 45 with that bike.
I was so proud of that!

They didn't even have ATV's when I was a kid...Honda had those baloon tire 3 wheelers...(which I hated)...that were eventually deemed as too dangerous to the public and banned....and it was some time after that when the first 4 wheelers...or ATV's came out.

I always liked two wheels myself....but those ATV's sure are a fantastic snowmobile substitute that can be used all year....and for sand dunes they are the best thing ever!

I remember back in the 60's that "Made In Japan" was a joke...they didn't make very good stuff yet back in those days and there was still animosity over WWII yet also....but Japan IMPROVED...in fact they became THE BEST.

China is kind of where Japan used to be...it remains to be seen if they'll ever make that big step towards actual quality.

Haha the good old 3 wheelers heard alot of fun stories on those things. I'd love to get my hands on one of the old kawi klt's.

I'm all about 2 wheels myself atvs are fun and all but not my cuppa tea. Kawi just came out with the new teryx4 when my boy gets older loading up the family in that thing and take off.

Btw the goverment is so butthurt over the lead content in frames (thanks china) they totally banned selling anything for youth and even parts. Man I don't know how long it took for someone to get there brake lever ordered because they said the lead could harm kids.... Really... If your child is chewing on the frame obviously you have bigger problems! Just one of those things congress tries to push and enforce.

I do have to say japan has made great improvements over the years and even has traction control on a zx10 that reads so fast Kawasaki claims it will keep you from wrecking (not including driver error)

Traction control to keep you from wrecking???
What fun is that?

I guess I'm "old school" and I WANT to see you crash....hell...some of the best laughs I've ever had was while watching somebody endo over the handlebars!!!...lmao!!!

I do think however that a lot of parents these days kind of spoil and pussify their kids.

I hate those battery operated cars that people buy for their kids.
Get that lazy ass kid on a bicycle and make him work it!

I knew some riders growing up and they always used to say that knowing how to crash was as important as knowing how to ride fast.

Until you kid has thoroughly crashed his ass off on his bicycle and can wheelie across your yard, then they aren't ready for a motorcycle....and I truly believe that to be a wise goal and expectation for them to meet BEFORE you buy them one.

Make them work for it.

Yup I agree on the Traction control haha. Kawasaki pulled outta motogp and put half there builders on the bike its a balls to the wall motorcycle but I agree I like some good ol fashion all motor and no electronics.

I crash about everytime I get on a bike (on purpose of course freestyle all legit of course) so I enjoy getting a good tossing. My boy falls down bout everytime he gets on a bicycle and keeps on going so he isnt afraid to take a hit. I wont get em some of those powerwheels or whatever, I wont have that it has to have a engine, pistons, and gasoline to be approved haha.

They have training wheels on 50s now that my god man look dangerous. In cookeville this year at the fair they had a 2 year old on the track with a bunch of KTM 50jr's and I have to give the kid props he had the drive to get out and race even though he didnt have a competition, buy the time he had made the first turn the bike looked like it was going to highside the kid due to the training wheels. Much rather see my kid low side then getting tossed.

This is off topic but something that I have always wondered about. Three wheelers were taken off the market because they are unsafe. Now we have the fancy 3 wheeled motorcycles that you see older folks riding. How come they are safe and the old 3 wheeler was not?

i know people on here are bashing the Fuzion utv's as cheap Jap/chine knockoffs and they probably are, but where do you think the other bikes come from..Just saying. dont jump on me, i've owned one brand or another for the past 30yrs. i am really a yamaha fan, but most are good if you take a little care of them. just my opinion. well they have to start somewhere but if they dont improve quality they are done, so spend a little extra and go with a brand that will be there when something breaks.
