I wonder if he has done this before. There was a very similar case in that area a couple years back. Woman found nude with only her socks on and looked to have been drug by something (car/truck). I believe that's how it went anyway. Memory is shot.

Have they brought this Alan Rogers back to Cumberland county yet, or is he still in N.C?

Slaying suspect waives extradition
By Michael R. Moser

CROSSVILLE The suspect in the killing of a Knoxville woman whose nude body was discovered behind a Crab Orchard gas station Oct. 4 has waived extradition and at press time was being turned over to Tennessee authorities by state police from North Carolina, according to Deputy District Attorney Gary McKenzie.

Allen Stacy Rogers, 32, a truck driver from Mitchell County, NC, changed his mind and decided to return to Cumberland County to face a first-degree murder charge handed down by the county grand jury that met in special session within three days of the discovery of the victim's body.

The victim was identified as Summer Nicole Nelms, 35, of Knox County. A preliminary autopsy report following an autopsy in Nashville revealed Nelms died of multiple blunt force trauma and multiple stab wounds prior to her body being dumped and run over by a large truck.

State and local investigators worked around the clock and on Friday morning, Oct. 7, had staked out Rogers' place of employment. They took him into custody when he returned from his regular run.

North Carolina state investigators worked with Tennessee investigators in obtaining a search warrant for the cab of the truck Rogers was driving.

So far, authorities have not mentioned a motive for the slaying.
