Is there any place in Crossville where they take food seriously? I haven't eaten at every restaurant here, but most places I've tried range from just plain bad to good once or twice, but inconsistent at best. Do any of these places taste their own food? With all of the transplants and different taste in foods, you would think someone would capitalize on great food at reasonable prices.

Yuck!
Shoney's
Ryans
Family Ties
Ruby Tuesday
Vegas

So so
Peking
China Buffet
Gondola
Dylans
Cancun
Margheritas

Better
Lefty's
Mitches
Fortes (too Expensive)
Victors
Blind Zebra
Beef and Barrel
Zaxby's
Arby's
Wendy's
McDonalds
Hardees

Comments/suggestions?

You rated McDonald's and Wendy's better than Gondola's, Ryan's, and Ruby Tuesday? I agree these restaurants leave room for improvement, but I don't know if I would feed Wendy's to my dog.

I personally enjoy Victors a lot. Plenty of places that are just ok to eat. Nothing that truly stands out.

Dynasty is a very good restaurant for a town this size and has excellent sushi....Gondola has very good service and reasonably priced food and has been in business here for almost 40 years...I wish they would expand their steak selection, many years ago they had a 16 ounce T-bone that was yummmm

Genesis Italian Grille has the best pizza in town and other great menu items as well. The Cancun on Peavine is good and fast and great prices.

I like the Italian grill on Genesis.

I can't believe the OP thinks Peking is even so so, that's got to be the nastiest place in Crossville to eat.

I'd eat at Vegas or Ruby's any day ANY DAY over Peking.

All the Mexican restaurant's foods taste the same. You can put them side by side and they will ALL taste the same.
As far as Italian Genesis Grill has the best food here, BUT that really doesnt say much about the food there because all the other Italian food in Crossville SUX really bad. Gondola's is a JOKE it IS the worst Italian food I have ever had.
Oriental food, All your Chinese food here is the same, untill I moved here I had never had YELLOW fried rice, its supposed to be BROWN not YELLOW!!
Dynasty and Toyko are both good but once again good for Crossville's standards.
As far as putting those fast food places on here.... YOU HAVE TO BE JOKING......I only eat that [email protected] if I am in a hurry and dont have time to get or make something better. Wendy's, Mickey D's, Hardees', Arby's and your forgot Subway, all of them are [email protected]

With the restaurants you listed as better, well thats the reason there will NEVER be a great place to eat in Crossville. People here are CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP x 1000. Ryan's is a troth (probably spelled that wrong, but this aint a speeling bee) But its packed for dinner most of the time. Why not because its good food but because [email protected] want to stuff thier face with as much food as they can.
If I want to eat good food I drive to Knoxville. I prefer to drive to Knoxville, spend $30 in gas and pay $25 per person on food, then to eat here and save $50.

Forte's is always good, if you're talking consistecy and it's not expensive. Fresh ingredients. well prepared & not the same old thing you seem to find everywhere else.

Cracker Barrel for southern cooking.

La Costa is the best Mexican here ... by far. Forget about the combo platters and try some of their other wonderful dishes.

Big Boys BBQ on Peavine ... consistently excellent!

Take a ride to Cookeville & try these: Crawdaddy's, Mauricio's, Cheddar's, Gyro Dude, Char.

Mexican restaurant's aren't all the same. LaCosta's by Blockbuster and Burke's is awesome and by far the best. Although you remembered Subway, YOU forgot Burger King, Dairy Queen, Krystal's, Pizza Hut, and all the other pizza joints in town. Can you say DUMBAZZ!!!!!

I think crossville needs a steak n shake for good fast food. We also need a good reasonably priced steak house.
