I'm amazed at the lies you guys will propagate to try to get elected. Disgusting.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, when Bush took office in Jan. 2001 the rate was about 4.3%

When he left office in Jan. 2009 the rate stood at 7.8%

It peaked at 10% in October 2009 and has been going down ever since. It's currently at 8.1%

"Also", you are a ignorant idiot at best and a disgusting liar at worst. You are part of the problem, not the solution. If you have to lie to get your guy elected, then you need to re-evaluate your principles.

Fresh off the news wire today...
The Labor Department reported this morning that the U.S. unemployment rate dipped to 8.1 percent in August, but no amount of Bill Clinton’s arithmetic can hide the fact that since President Obama took office in January 2009, he has barely been able to move that number — except up.
And the article goes on to say..
But it’s worth noting that in eight years, the jobless rate under Bush was never higher than 6.3 percent in June 2003 - until the financial meltdown of late 2008. And even then, it never rose above 8 percent on his watch.
President Obama can say what he wants about Bush, but he’d kill to have that kind of unemployment rate two months before the election.

The actual numbers (not the Republican BS) indicates that Obama was able to arrest the fall and start bringing us back out. Facts seem to have a liberal bias.

The avg unemployment rate for the year 2008 (Bush's last full year in office) was 5.8%

OBAMA TOOK OFFICE IN JAN OF 2009

The avg unemployment rate for the year 2012 (which is this year) is 8.2%

You can find this on any of the various dot gov sites as well as at the U.S. Dept of Labor.

Don't matter a hill of beans. The trend had started, look at the chart. You can try to downplay it all you want by averaging in pre-collapse numbers but it's not significant in the least. The trend had definitely started and Obama arrested it. When Bush left, unemployment was at 7.8%. The numbers don't lie. You do.

Again, you are part of the problem.

The avg unemployment rate from 2005 to the end of 2008 (which was Bush's 2nd term) was....5.1%

The avg unemployment rate from 2009 to now in 2012 (which is Obama's 1st term) was/is.....8.9%

Again, from any of the various dot gov sites and the U.S. Dept of Labor.

You guys can spin it all you want, however you want. The government issued statistics say that the average unemployment rate for Bush's 2nd term was 5.1% while the average unemployment rate for Obama's 1st term is 8.9%

However bad Bush was, Obama's even worse. I was glad when we finally got rid of Bush, and will be just as glad when we get rid of Obama.

It's like you're completely ignoring the financial collapse in late 2008. I wonder why that is...

There was a financial collapse at the end of Bush's second term. How is Obama responsible for that?

The economy tanked in late 2008. It continued to suck into Obama's term but has turned around.

Look at this jobs graph:

Averages don't mean squat. Fact is the economy tanked and unemployment shot up exponentially. That happened under an Republican administration. Obama took office and the trend continued until policy was able to arrest the climb and it has started slowly back down. Your numbers do not tell the story and are meaningless. The economy is still in the shitter but slowly getting better. The guy did ok in the situation in which he was placed. He inherited a humongous mess that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. He could have possibly accomplished more if he hadn't had a hostile Congress who openly stated that their biggest goal was not to help, but to undermine him at ever opportunity.

Again, you are part of the problem.

How about telling Reid to bring some of the jobs bills up for a vote in the Senate. He is the one stonewalling things.

Ok. Let's just sat you're right on this one. Please give me and the board 1 or 2 FACTUAL acts Bush did as president that caused the job loss and financial collapse. Any legislative act or repeal of any law will do. I want dates and links to verify your claims. You are a pro at quoting numbers, but fail terribly at explaining them.
P.S. I have the correct answer, so be careful as to what you try to spin. Have at it.

Cutting corporate tax rates and capital gains tax rates isn't really a "jobs bill."
