I feel guilty when my husband helps around the house I feel like it is my job even thought I work as much as he does. How do I stop feeling bad about it.

Ya my husband better help around the house or we have a major problem.

And my boys will know how to take care of their own laundry etc by the time they move out of the house.

Men are not babies and they shouldn't be treated as such.

I'm a man and if both have full time jobs then I think its his place to help out but if the woman is not working then she should do it all

What do you call a woman with 2 black eyes? A woman that had to be told twice to cook and clean!!!

My wife works every bit just as hard as I do. We both pitch in doing the house work. Now, I don't do nearly as much as she does. But I do help. If I get home first, I start dinner, or vice versa if she does. We both do the dishes together, and we talk about our day. I will do laundry, vacuum, dishes, but I really hate cleaning the toilet. LOL.
The point is, I'm not one of those husbands who sits on the couch with a beer in one hand and a remote in another while she does all the work. That's not fair to her and I wasn't raised to treat a woman that way. And you all can think whatever you like, but I AM NOT WHIPPED. I just happen to have respect for my wife and I feel that I need to help out too.

I think a man and woman should both care about the residence inside and out. I don't consider working outdoors or indoors helping the other but working together to maintain a home.

they should both help but I do have to say men have a differnt definition sometimes of the word clean. So that can cause some issues but at least they are trying. And I'm glad to see some men on here standing up for this.

Women today do such a half-assed job at cleaning (like they do at everything else), the man has no choice but to help.
