Eight people running for two seats. The two incumbents, Johnny Presley (Sr) and Lynn Tollett are in the race. Tollett voted to let Smith Mtn become a future dumping ground for God-only-knows-what and Presley abstained (which, to me, is the same as voting for it). If you live in the 3rd, who are you going to vote for and why?

I thought there were nine in the running? If I lived there I would not vote for those two incumbents. They need to be gone!

Hello Willis,

It's been a long time. You are right, there are 9: Brent Bell, James Crockett, Sr.,Mike Dibicarro, David Hassler, Jason Kemmer, Jerry Kerley, Johnny Presley, Randy Tinch, and Lynn Tollett. Can't vote for Presley, Tollett or Kemmer. What is your opinion of the others? Which Kerley tribe does this one belong to?

if you think its bad having a kerley determine the kerleys pay rates, imagine what would happen if you had one on the county commission, one a city mayor, and one a school board member...sounds like there are some ulterior motives going on.fortunately, the word is spreading before the election.

Why not? He's always seemed to have a good head on his shoulders.

Yes there motives are very clear....bring some honesty and integrity back in to our local politics. The Kerleys have no ulterior motives. Instead of complaining about your choice of candidates, why don't you run for an elected position. I doubt you could handle the constant ridicule that people like yourself seem to thrive on dishing out. Most of which is idle gossip.

Words are cheap my friend but once again I am prepared to back my statements with hardcore facts. Lets see if you are prepared to do the same. What has Jesse Kerley ever done that made you question his "honesty and integrity"? Sounds to me like your sitting at the poker table with no chips. And what "majority" do you speak of? According to recent poles Jesse Kerley is favored to win by over 75%. That sounds like the "majority" to me.

Come now "adw".....Lets tell the whole story. The radio plainly stated that Kerley did not vote on the pay raises for the city employees. And your right....the word is spreading fast and the support is growing in favor of Jesse Kerley.
Let me also say.....
Jesse Kerley is obviously a strong contender in the race for mayor based on the fact that every single new Topix thread started on here pertaining to politics even when it has no relation to Kerley always ends up about him.....Thanks, we appreciate you keeping his name on the voter's minds.

Name calling?!... lol. Classic!......I doubt you argue with anyone as I suspect you lack the mental capacity to speak intelligently on any subject.
And I was being modest about the poles. Two were recently conducted:
1. An online pole of 100 voters favored Kerley at 94%

2. A phone survey of 100 voters favored Kerley at 75%

Can't argue with statistics......They never lie

Randy Tinch is a loose cannon and doesnt deserve a badge, let alone public office. I don't presume to know who you should vote for, but I know for sure that you should NOT vote for Randy Tinch. Hot-heads make hot-headed decisions.
