I have a cat that i fell in love with, she is a good cat. she was a stray but last winter she was so cold, i gave her a home! since then i have gotten her fixed, i give her advantage every month along with my ferret, just 2 mts. ago i gave her worm pill, now she has them again! i cant keep going to the vet, so i need to find something to give her over the counter or home remedy to rid of these, or i am gonna have to get rid of her! i really dont want to do that! so i was hoping someone would be so kind as to help me!

You went to a Vet?????

Well there's part of your problem right there.
Take it from me...I know my stuff when it comes to these issues.
Go to..
http://www.vidalspets.com/epages/vidalspets.s...

This where I get all my cat meds from.
Revolution DOES IT ALL.
Get with the program...it handles flea's...ticks and worms.
Vidals is cheap....or at least as cheap as it gets to buy REAL meds.

With this information your problem is solved....and if you don't do anything about what I just told you, then why did you bother asking?

On Vidals.....the "Profender" is a wormer that you squirt on the back of the cats neck just like you would Frontline or something.

Yes...it actually works that way....and very effectively too!!!

Yes...I've been using them for some time now.

You know what's funny?...(perhaps you noticed?)...usually for the "Revolution' they want a Vet's prescription in order to send it to you, but since they're located in Australia, they don't have to play by our laws and thus it alows you to forgo the Vet in the process...and despite that...all the way from Australia...its STILL CHEAPER!

And yes...it is the real stuff.

Weird isn't it?

Yes i seen that! what a shock, but as long as it works for her becouse she is a good cat even tough she was a stray, i fell in love with her! with her being a stray she does not even bother my ferret, i just cant see any animal in pain, and when she was cryin to me, it brecks my heart! so thank you from the bottom of my heart and her "bottom" Lol!

I use black walnut extract. I make my own with our walnuts. You soak the green hulls in water for a few days and give a tablespoon or two. I did it once a day for about a week. Then I repeated after a week, or so.

I worm all of our animals like this. I also use other natural dewormers.

Well Jay....I happen to know a thing or two about Black Walnuts.

Yes...Black Walnuts do contain some chemicals that will kill certain things off.

You can't grow certain plants around Black Walnut trees...like Rhododendrons and Azalea's for instance.

Juglones are responsible, and as far as being an effective wormer, I have not been able to find any information to confirm that assertion.

The very fact you failed to mention "Juglones" makes me think this is an old "wives tales" based on a very poor guess.

If you don't know or can prove it for a fact, then shut the phhuck up!!!

I would have to be so VERY CAUTIOUS about trying something like that, erspecially coming from SOME PEOPLE on here that would apparently take some pleasure in killing a cat.

Besides...while even if it actually did get rid of worms, there are still other parasitic issues such as fleas and ticks that need to be addressed, and I think the "Revolution" for the price is the way to go.

All I can say is that I'm not trying that experiment.

Anything you get that doe not require a presription will not be strong enough. Frontline deals with fleas and ticks which in turns stops worms. A tablet or liquid from a vet every 3 months will keep worms in check. Not over expencive. Home remeddies are not really the answer for cats, sorry but that is just my opinion. I own 2 dogs 3 cats and 3 horses. I would never go anywhere but the vet for wormers.

Well...if you think "JOE SOMEBODY" or anyone else is going to give you great advice that is BETTER than a vet, then go ahead and poison your pet!!!

I have found "Profender" to be both excellent and cheap for solving that problem.

All of my cats have lived 15+ years....

You obviosly didnt read all my post, as I did say you will still need a tablet or liquid every 3 month for worms as I do for my cats. There is nothing better than vets for giving medicine for fleas, ticks and worms. So use them please.

Where in the hell did you get that IGNORANT conclusion from?
Worms....heartworms for dogs, come from Mosquitoes.
What the phhuck do you think Frontline does for that???...IDIOT!!!

Cats contracting worms from eating "mice"..."rabbi ts"..."chipmunks "...etc is not stopped by Frontline you poor ignorant fool!!!

What is profinder? I have used advantage and frontline on all of my pets for many years, is that what you are talking about? becouse if you are talking about the black walnut thing, i dont think that is ever gonna happen! I take all of my babies to the vet! both of these animals are fixed. They are in good health, for the exception of the stray cat (with the worms)! I am only getting imfo, i know what is good and what is not! yes i know some people would have me kill her! but that isn't gonna happen! i have had her in my life now for 10 mths. now! so flo, lighten up on me, lol! i am not gonna listen to someone that has other ideas other than the safety of my cat or ferret! i thank you for your input! so calm down, i went ahead and ordered the australia stuff! So thank you flo, for all of your help!
