Okay, now its illegal to have a window airconditoner in the front seat, i guess they are bored. maybe the donut shop was closed and they forgot to put a sign up. what a bunch of idiots. sorry excuse for law enforcement.

My husband and I were pulled over because we had a window air conditioner in the front seat on the passenger side after purchasing it from Lowe's. I was sitting in the back. He pulled us over because he wanted to see our receipt. Now if there had been a call in that someone had stolen an air conditioner I could understand, but can people not shop anymore without someone thinking they stole something? I don't know why he asked to see my license either since I wasn't driving but sitting in the back seat.

I know a few of the CPD that were actually decent ppl before they got a badge, and everything including their attitudes and personalities seem to have somehow disappeared. I thoroughly enjoy the ones that become cops and then end up in jail themselves...lol

Most cops request to see everyone's id because they want to see if you have a warrant.

My feeling is that the police don't have any business pulling you over just because they feel like it...
Whatever happened to "probable cause"?

I remember one time while I was in Crossville I turned off of West Ave. by the Tractor Supply store to go down to Krogers.

Well...there was a line of cars behind that stop sign right there and everybody cruising the storefronts was going SLOOOOOOOOW...so rather than wait behind all that nonsense I pulled off to the right and went through the middle of the huge and mostly empty parking lot on down to Krogers.

Well...some of your local "doughnut eaters" got their panties in a bunch at seeing my "efficiency" at navigating around a bottleneck, so they came driving up to me with the "instant accusation" that "you were driving pretty fast through the parking lot".

The truth of the matter was that I didn't drive fast through the parking lot at all...I never exceeded even 15 mph....but I guess in comparison to driving behind those old geezers moving at 2 mph it must have seemed like I was using nitrous!

I know better than to argue with police and that has served me well over the years, so I simply innocently said..."did you think I was driving too fast"?

I didn't get ticketed or anything, but for cryin' out loud, don't they have anything better to do?

I think they do a good job for little pay, that most people wouldn't want to do.
All the people work for low wages but we get paid and we do our jobs and if you dont wont to do the job your hired for and dont like the pay then get out and let someone who will do the job reguardless the pay. Thats Crossville sit back and get the pay and dont do anything drive by the city police station or look behind the dollar store and go up to the court house go to any city or state, Gov. office and what do you see? They are doing nothing because they dont get paid enough money to do what they have to do. What the HELL go to the whitehouse. Thats the problem with this country. Where all worth more than what we make. Lots of people have hard manual jobs and danger and there not crybabys.

I'm sure there are good cops. Just like anyone else, there are good ones and bad ones... Just because it's been my personal experience that most I've ever had any dealings with were crooked or asses, it doesn't mean they all are. So says my best friend and I have to give it to her because her Mother was an officer and an outstanding woman...

... uh, yeah ok. Sorry but I don't buy the generalization, just as I tried not to generalize them as all bad just because of my own personal experiences...

Not saying you did or didn't but it is illeagal to cut through a parking lot you can get a ticket for going over a parking space. It is a 50 dollar fin for ever space you cross over. I figured that out the hard way. You wont see me edoing that again haha
