90%?! Do you even know how to figure percentages? Are you really implying that 9 out of 10 people living around me are cooking meth? that must mean that 70% of all meth cooks are extremely good at hiding it.

You seem to think that I don't understand there is a meth problem here. I know there is one, without a doubt. However to make up a number like 90% is ridiculous and you should know it too.

One I know cooks for sure two I'm pretty certain do.
I'm sure both the county and city cops that live in the neighborhood know about them too, but they are not about to start shit where they and their kids live. Take in consideration that most people in this county are related at some level and that is why so many people turn a blind eye.

People could start a motion to enact the death penalty as a consequence of cooking meth. Since meth cooks are essentially committing murder. If you can convict Charles Manson of Murder, then Meth Cooks are murderers too by the same right. This is my insanely biased opinion on the matter.

Or they could legalize meth and regulate it. Take the criminality out of addiction. Then punish people for crimes committed under the influence of said drug or because of the influence of said drug. It would give people an opportunity to find a way out of the hole of addiction if we began treating addiction like a health issue and less like a criminal one. It would also greatly reduce the number of "cooks" as most people would prefer to find a legal and safer route to feed their addictions.

Toasty, believe me, you do NOT want this trash legalized! It has NO medical value. It is horrible awful stuff that does horrible and awful things to people! And there is not a criminality to addiction, just possession or production! ANY Meth user arrested for possession can ask for treatment! It is offered as part of the court proceedings in most cases. There are several places to help. They don't ask and you can't help them until they want to help them selves. Meth is not a "soft" drug. It is a cocktail of acids and poisons mixed together that fry out brain circuitry on the very first use! IT IS HORRIBLE STUFF! Education and prevention is the best way to fight it. We need to take the kid gloves off and show people what it does! People eating their scabs off their body just to get the Meth that is in them. People digging holes in their arms and face to get the "bugs" out. Mouths full of rotten teeth. Putrefying flesh barely covering their skeletal frames. It is awful awful stuff......

I argue that we don't even properly treat those like health issues. Not always but often we expect someone to go through a twelves step program that is aligned with the idea that you must submit to a higher power for it to work. Rather people should be taught to find strength within themselves to overcome addiction and perhaps in positive influences around them. If that positive influence happens to be a higher power then so be it, but this is not the case for everyone.
