My son wants to play pee wee football but I don't know how to get him signed up. I think the team is the mountaineers. I know this is the time to get him signed up - can anyone tell me how or who to contact?

One of the women that runs the Cheerleader Mountaineers, also works at the front desk of Tennessee Technology Center....she can fill you in with the details....(I believe they start around 5years of age and work their way up...)

But be prepared.....to practice 2-3 hours, 3 times per week...and games every Saturday (ALL day)....most ALWAYS out of town....and the cost of all the extras...(ouch)

They start at 5 and go to 13. It is a great program and the lady that is referenced in the other post is no longer involved. It starts last week in July and will run through 1st week in Nov. Practice is only 2 hours Mon, Wed and Thur they can only practice 6 hours a week. Saturday are game day, they start at 10 am and each game lasts about 1.25 hrs if you only have 1 kid playing it is not all day!!

There is not a lot of extra expense other than gas to drive to the games we do travel , we will play in Crossville half the games and away the other half, they are in Spring City, Pikeville, Dunlap and Monterey. If you take a picnic basket and cooler you will save money LOL!!! We are their all day we have a child in each group, they have to be there an hour before game time for weigh in , we arrive at 9 and are done with all the games by about 4!!! We love every minute of it and our boys love it so much!!!!

There will be a football camp try it out se how you feel about it then!!

Unfortunately my son isn't quite old enough, but my daughters would be interested in cheering. I have a 6 and 9 year old. Sorry to keep bugging but do I talk to the same people about them? Or do they have cheering for pee wee football? I am pretty sure they do but figured Id ask anyway.

you sign up for the cheerleading at the same place. They will put her in with the same team (orange or white.. used to be black) so they travel to the same places. Those practices go on at the same time too. If you only have 1 or 2 kids you will NOT be there all day. And it's not that far to travel. We will have both the jamboree and the championships here this year too I was told. Because Orange will host one and White will host the other. If your boy is 5 by Aug 1st he can play.

oh and the only extras you pay for are cleats, and a practice jersey ($5) and mouthguards. They give you one but I promise you will want to get more than that. I'm not sure about the extras for Cheering as I have all boys but I KNOW they do fundraising.

I hope you do sign them up!! It is tons of fun, you o have to be dedicated!!

And for excheer I am sorry you were not happy in our program, we have been here for MANY years including when it was blue raiders. This will be the 3r season TC has not been with us so it has been a while since you were as well!

Other than gabbing to each other and the bys playing we are done by 7 each night, I have 1 boy on every team and cheer I know it is a long day but so worth every moment
