Billy krause was a great athlete and Roy Stone, Gabe West,Josh Proffitt all of these guys worked hard and done a great job and were great leaders of the team. Dont forget the O-TRAIN. Isaac Ostrander is the best runningback that cchs has had in years. I think those kids went 8-3 that season. I Didnt miss a game... They were pretty good..... COACH ROCKY ZAZZARO was the key to that football team.

So what-- look at Troy Stickler's stats all I have to say is WOW!! University of the cumberlands is the RSCC of football around here
he is the only kid to go there from here. He played 6 out of the 10 games this year with a broke hand and he caught 5 out of the 6 passes thrown to him for 65 yards. He can't create passes

Stickler wasn't even the best senior on the team this year. Terryl didn't get a scholarship and was the MVP of the district. Someone said he caught 5 of 6 passes, but that one kid had 7 touchdowns receiving. That is more TD's than passes thrown to Stickler. Several other seniors were better as well. This school is a joke obviously. It must be what kids from here usually get, which is a chance to play on the team if their parents are willing to pay the tuition. Most of these boys where better but were more concerned about their education than finding someone that would take them under the ruse that they are scholarship athletes. If Terryl didn't get one, nobody got one that was legit.

Sure are alot of haters in this town. Cant people be proud of kids who get out of this town and a chance to play some sport a different level? The parents have to do their part to in getting their child a scholarship because the coaches arent gonna do it and I dont think what Stickler got was a "RUSE"...You must be one of the other seniors from the team and just mad because you couldnt even make into college

maybe troy just wanted to play college ball worse than the others.maybe the size of the school or prestige didnt matter.just a chance to keep playing the game.i personnally have heard coach partin tell senior parents that any kid that wanted to play college he would work to find them somewhere ,anywhere to play.just maybe thats what happened!as far as teryl goes just maybe he has received several offers just not from where he wants to go,but of course you already knew that.way to go troy keep playing the game!!!!!!!

Not jealous at all. I am happy for Troy if that is what he wants to do. I know how these things work. Most of the time, kids are able to walk on to the team once they get to the school. Couple of boys 2 or 3 years ago where suppose to get scholarships but in reality they where told they were accepted to the school and could play football but they went on academics or a parent pays the bulk of the cost. Sorry if that hurts someone's feelings but that is what it is. I say good luck to Troy. The last few that have made deals like this were back at RSCC in less than two years.

Not according to coach parton at the banquet. As far as the facebook pic, they did the same thing for chase wood a couple of years ago. He did not receive a football scholarship. It doesn't prove anything, sorry. Not trying to strike a nerve, just being honest. If they wanted him that bad, they should look at our whole team. Troy was a solid player and he helped the team tremendously. The one senior that you would pick out to play college, not even close. Sorry.

By the way, the coaches were trying to get Terryl a scholarship from my understanding. He went on several visits, one to Tenn Tech. Didn't happen. I am pretty sure this school would have taken him if they were watching film of our team and wanted to throw a full ride at one player.

same district different classification, this distict (6) has teams in 6a classificaation as well as 5a and they do compete in the same ditrict but because of the difference in school size when they play UP in class size it carries more weight when it comes down to state playoff eligibility as far as rpi and other variables and the distrit accolades dont cross classification lines, guess its a little hard for you to understand so guess you need to study that tssaa sight a little harder.

the coexistance of 5a & 6a class teams in the same distict is how for the last 2 years cchs could have made the state playoffs by winning only 1 distict game (sparta) both years. cchs would have also made it by beating kingston this year because of strength of schedule & other variables. district 6 6a teams are cookeville, coffee, warren co.s .... district 6 5a teams are white& cumb. co...and their accolades dont cross class lines even though they compete in the same distrit. this is for football only basketball is different!

From what I understand Zack Steddam (SMHS) is going there too but I guess he is lying too. You guys sure know how to put kids down but Im sure yall went to college and played football so you know all about it. I dont know very many kids who could go to college out of state if their wasnt a scholarship but Im sure you will have an answer for that too. Just be proud they are doing something instead of putting them down all the time and who cares is Terryl was MVP he could have gone to if he wanted but obviously doesnt want to
