Stupid isolationist - you have no clue how much money and how many jobs the retirees and golf bring to this county. Check the unemployment rates, city and county budgets, school graduation rates, facilities available, etc... in any county around us excluding Putnam county which has Tenn Tech (an educational facility which believe it or not will bring in jobs and people). Crossville is better off than any of those other counties because of the golf and the retirees. If you don't believe it move to Jamestown or Pikeville for a little while

Golf bringing in money ? Lmfao if that's the case why does the tax payers of crossville have to sponsor the damn thing for ? 10,000 worth just for one tournament ? No come on and if those old bastards moving here create jobs then where are they? Crossville a just flooded with no unemployment isn't it ? And should I go on about the pay rate of this shithole ? Who can even make ends meet with a job of 7 or 8 dollars an hour if this town is so full of those great jobs then why isn't the income around 15 or 20 bucks an hour ? I can't wait to hear your pathetic answers on those simpleton questions ?

Imagine how bad it would be without the jobs that the retirees and golf have brought here.

AMEN - anyone who has any education, half a brain can see beyond their little town redneck nose should realize how much property tax, hotel tax, sales tax, etc.. the colf and the retirees generate for this county.

My things change....5 years ago you folks blamed the unemployment numbers on Bush. Now that Obama is in office, it's the fault of a couple of old people.

We love most everything about Crossville. Great weather, compared to Michigan, beautiful scenery, golf ten months a year. The one drawback is some of the people, most are just fine but I refuse to shop the first week of the month.
