i know it's hard to go to another doctor when you are already comfortable with dr.teagarden but dr johnson is great. she's supportive and gentle. she had twins so she knows how pregnancy is so she's sympathetic. she'll treat you great.

i understand how some people can be uncomfortable with a male obgyn, but i had dr.mak and he was AMAZING. he is very gentle with you when he checks u and he never made me feel uncomfortable. he is a great doctor and i would recommend him to anybody! i was induced and he delivered my son. i didnt rip or have to be cut because he did such a great job. everyone i know who had claypool said she cuts u automatically

I had Dr.Claypool/JOhnson when I had my child 10 years ago.. Back then she was an awesome lady and doctor. I can't really say for sure now tho. I know if she is like she use to be you wont find any better than her. But then like I said it has been 10 years.

For all of the peopel who are needing clarification about who is who in the ob/gyn field, here we go: Doctor Teagarden (Dana) has twins, lives in Knoxville and is a woman. Duh.
Doctor Johnson is a man, with a big family, 7 kids to be exact. He
practices at CMC as a general physician.
Doctor Claypool (KIM) has triplets. She practices at CMC and is a woman. Now between all three, if i had to get my koochie checked, I would trust Dana Teagarden more than anyone. She has a better reputation for delivering babies, and they dont't end up in an ambulance on their way to childrens hospital because of forced labor, and premature deliveries, due to vacations.
Now you can all decide what you want to do, but this is only my opinion.Another option would be to go to Cookeville. shorter drive, better doctors than in Crossville. But if you must visit Teagarden, she is in Turkey Creek. So i hope you all enjoyed the english lesson.

Dr. Claypools last name is now Johnson. When she got divorced she took her maiden name back so she is also now known as Dr. Johnson.

I used Dr. Claypool for my 2 children, and she's awesome. And FYI the reason she is Dr. Johnson is because she's remarried now.. Has been for about 2 and a half years :)

I'm sorry when I talked to her about 3 years ago she said she was no longer Claypool and that she had taken her maiden name back. Is why I figured Johnson was her maiden name..
