wow this has really turned into a police state. The cops thought tonite was going to be like bonnarro. people partying, and having fun. They decided to put plain clothes cops all over the crowds tonite. what a bunch of idiots. can we not enjoy anything w/o big bubba hanging over our heads. i can see traffic control but not plain interference and sneaky actions of cops. There was a guy there who works at the jail walking around in his uniform, i guess they locked down the big house so they could see who was drinking a beer or smoking a joint and having a good time. Wow, some of us they didnt catch. too bad.

if he works at the jail he was probably trying to enjoy it with his family. you are obviously guilty of something.Co's have no arrest powers on the street. who were the plain clothed cops.

Smoking a joint and drinking a beer at a family event such as the Christmas parade is what you consider "just having a good time?" Wow.

Really couldn't care less, but I am bored. Just wanted to say the amount of cop cars out for the stupid parade here were more than I saw at "the who" concert in nashville sunday. A bit ridiculous

this is what i have been screaming for ever. they are not there anymore to protect and serve they are there to patrol the people. it is bad. mr burgess is trying to turn this county into a police state. its awfull. i wonder how many people are aressted or say shot and killed even per number of people in a county compaired to other counties.

Perhaps they were looking for registered sex offenders in the crowd. A parade seems like it might be as good a target for child molesters as, say, a toddler beauty pageant. I'm not a criminal, so I have no problem with the presence of police officers at public events.

I'm pretty liberal and 100% for marijuana legalization but lighting up in a crowd of kids is pretty much a universal no no.

Ditto.

If all the cops are in one place, why not simply go to another place?

If you were there watching the police or for the police instead of watching the parade, you should have just stayed home or in your car and smoked/drank yourself into a coma. Really? smoking a joint where kids can breathe that garbage??? You are sick. I hope they arrest you for stupidity.

And if the cops busted you, you would have been arrested, if I caught you, I would have beaten the hell out of you for being around the kids with it you loser.

Hey whatabout Jamaicans its their religioun to smoke it up every day even the babies. I don't see it hurting them they all seem just fine to me and those kids are smart too. I would rather smoke a joint in the presence of a child than to give them Tylenol. Now Tylenol that is bad stuff!

I don't give a damn about Obama, smoking weed n drinking around my grandkids AT A XMAS parade is wrong. And until the law is changed, Jamaica is Jamaica and the US is the US. period. You can keep your stoned out state of mind, I've done enough in my life and grew up.
