What do you think about having a tattoo parlor that condones homosexuality moving into a barber shop? Also Sam at the chop shop called the police on a girl not long ago, I wonder what Joe and his group of hippies think about that. Does anyone remember how his shop on 4th street turned into a big mess? I believe the only good thing to come out of this will be that they will both be out of business soon.

Agreed!!! on the closing of Sam's Hole. but that would not rid the world of the Nastiness she has & continues to spread around. I don't know of the other name you speak of,so no opinion there.Just BE HAPPY TO SEE HER SHUT DOWN.

It's Joe Byron, the long haired guy that did tattoos and airbrushing out of a cargo trailer at the flea market for years. While he does have some artistic ability he should give up tattooing and stick to airbrushing. His tattoos are crap, he is probably the cheapest tat guy around and that is because he knows he is the worst. I know people love to bargain shop but a tattoo is not something to skimp on. A few extra bucks for a better artist will save you thousands by not having to go to a doctor to cure you later.

Joe Byron did a tattoo for me 15 yrs. ago. He drew exactly what I wanted just by me describing it. It is a beautiful tattoo and still hasn't faded. I don't know how his work is now but I am still pleased with my tattoo and feel that he has a lot of artistic ability.

Joe Byron dd a memorial tat on me in 93 and Ive never had to have it retouched. It is beautiful and looks just like the picture I brought in for him to use as a reference. I have not heard about Sam & him going in to business together but she should count herself lucky if he'll do it!!!

They're "teaming up" so that they only have to rent one vendor space at the "Dragstalia-3 Nostalgic Drag Races Pre 72 Car Show and Swap Meet." (Crossville Drag Strip this weekend.)
Sam posted this: "Come by and see us and pick up your "Blast from the Past" coupon to use in the Chop Shop! This coupon will knock the prices back to the 50's!!!"

How much DID it cost in the 1950's to make your hair look like a Crayola train wreck?

As far as people I know them both and Sam is an awesome person, but you hit the nail on the head about the whole drug thing! Sam raves she is not having drugs around but well all know that what comes with Joe....could Sam just be hiding her real self?? I myself was there when the words "you just need to chill I can find ya some pot if I make a call" come out of her mouth in the shop! Shocked me seeing a couple weeks before she was saying if your on drugs don't come to my shop! Hopefully it's just something for this weekends event!

They're not just teaming up for that show. It is on Joe's facebook that he is moving into the chop shop building in October.

First of all peeps, I have been doing tattoos and airbrushing in this ole gossip filled town for over 32 years now and have heard it all, and I'm still doing great at it, I now own my own shop paid for in full and no longer work at the Chop Shop, that was only temporary as I only told Sam I would be there for one year to save the money to build my own studio and I did, it is now open and I stay busy, so say what you will about my art, it speaks for itself and I offer fair prices because I like to work and if you charge more, you do less work, and I know you guys out there working for a living do not make a fair wage, Crossville will not let a company move here if they plan on paying anything over 10 an hour, but I have a thick skin and am not concerned with da haters, I'll be here doing my art for another 32 years, my website is joebyron dot com and on fb I am Joe Byron, hit me up if I can help...

Thanks Veronica for your kind words and for you using your real name as so many on here hide behind a fake name, now to update everyone on my situation, I left the Chop shop over a year ago now, and my new shop is doing great, why, because I offer good quality art at a fair price, I don't overcharge like most artist because I don't have to pay rent, pay out commissions to shop owners or pay out any real overhead, I own my studio outright and will pass my savings onto my clients, joebyron dot com has all my new information and I would like to thank all those here that have left kind words for me, you guys know me well....

Neat site. Great artwork. One issue...where you've written about your dogs, it should say, "they get a bad rap," instead of wrap. I know, I'm kind if a grammar nazi.

Joe did my tattoo for my girls. He did a great job and a great price. I get compliments on it all the time. He has also done some tattoos on my husband, also great work. We will go to him for any future tattoos.
