Child Hit By Car In Boaz; Should Be Okay - WHNT

A four-year-old boy in Marshall County is lucky to be alive. He was hit by a car on Friday afternoon.

The little boy did NOT JUMP OUT IN FRONT OF THE CAR.

wow. truly lucky.. the lil fellow should have been taken to the nearest childrens trauma center,, but considering that the new amulance service that handles boaz proper (A-Med) cant transport out of boaz, and wont fly you out because they cant charge for it, you stuck going to marshall south then the real ambulance service owned by the hospital will take you where you need to go. Way to go Mayor of boaz,, what a great service for your citizens

OK if he did not jump out or walk out in front of the car and into traffic then how did he end up IN THE ROAD? The reports say nothing about the child being hit on a side walk off of highway 168 or even in a parking lot. Please share with us more of this story since you are an eye witness to the event.
My prayers are with the family and I am glad the little fella is doing well but this reminds us all to keep a closer eye and a tighter rein on our children in potentially dangerous situations.

(a-med) has nothing to do with charging to fly someone out,i talked to the air evac life team pilot and since they was so close to the hospital they were dispatched to hospital to get him stable then flown to childrens hospital in birmingham ,within 15 minuites of the accident.
