Let's lighten up a little! We are all frustrated by the outcome of this case, to put in mildly. I do feel the sincerity in Doug's request. I'm sure he will do his reading now.

So sad. I think this posting board has come to a dead end, just like the case, and everything else that pertains to the Robison tragedy.

This kind of lull has happened before. But in retrospect, for the past three or four years this board has discussed practically every angle, shared ideas and theories ad nauseum, and most importantly, led member(s) of the Robison family to continue to pursue law enforcement to resolve and close this case once and for all. If that happens, I'd say this board served a great purpose and can finally be retired. We'll see.

<quoted text> Richard, In the past, we have written various people in authority of this case and have gotten no response as to whether or not they intend to review and close it. It's frustrating and very emotionally draining to put yourself out there, even in mere correspondance, and continually hope for closure and not receive it. However, I am willing once again to ask whoever you think is necessary to contact. Would you please, once again, give me the names and adresses to those I need to contact. I do appreciate all your effort in this case. Thank you.

I have not lost interest. I think I'll always wait for an answer but right now not an awful lot we can do..

I've not lost interest either, not by a long shot. But it seems like I've been bouncing off so many dead ends, time and time again.I think of the family most every day, I think of the horrendous crime most every day. I just don't know where to go from here, discussion wise.

I think Marty's book When evil came to Good Hart provided a lot of new and forgotten information and got everyone talking about this case. We need another jolt of energy to get it solved and closed. I wonder what Mr Koski's family are going to do with all his files, notes and paperwork. Any info on that Al?

I'm selling all that crap on Ebay, along with my collection of Perry Como albums and Howdy Doody memorabilia.

Does anyone know if the cottage still stands? or if the property is owned? and if so by who? my email is

The cottage was demolished not long after the murders, once the police were done with it and the bank no longer wanted the liability of the building. The property has changed hands a couple of times, first to an adjacent neighbor and then resold to two different other neighbors. There are 3 parts to the Blisswood development, lake front lots and lake access lots across the road at lake level, and upper bluff lots fronting to the highway. One part of the original site of the cottage went to the owners of a property on the highway on top of the bluff who also owned the lake access lot below them, to extend their lot to the lake. The other went to a lake access property that was at lake level, across the road from the lake front lots. They now effectively have a two part site that has lake frontage. There is nothing recognizable to see. You'd have to be very familiar with Blisswood to know where the cottage once stood.

Thanks for the info. One aspect of the case that nobody has touched on throughout all these years is that the Robison family was Swiss. Which of course made them the Swiss Family Robison. Amazing. Think I'll go have some cheese.

Why are we making light of these murders? No one is exempt from this happening to them and their loved ones. Please be respectful of the dead.

How sad that this started with honest intentions in May of 2006 and went until earlier this year!! We were seeking answers and had a lot of help from both scholars and many authors plus authorties that were involved in the case. Richard from Petoskey was very helpful and I can only imagine how he must feel. This is pathetic that "Al Koski" and "Joe Scolero" have chosen to participate and mock the good that has been done.
I for one would like to continue the discussion without these clowns. So, please let me know where this will continue because this is the last time I will post on this site. See you elsewhere, I hope! Mardi, maybe on your site?

Katrina, Add "Doug" to the list of those making snarky comments. As the family genealogist, I can assure you there is no Swiss in the family Robison. Not that that would be a bad thing, it just sounded as though the comment was in very bad taste. This member of the Robison family did not appreciate it. I know we have many folks in this world who think that pissing on tombstones is great sport. Perhaps someone will do it on their grave some day. Karma, you know.

Could it be that these posters are related in some way to the "suspect" in this case and just want to see this terrible tragedy just go away. These horrible murders have affected so many lives and as the bible says the sins of the father will fall on the heads of the sons.I say until the last person who has been touched by this crime is gone IT WILL NEVER GO AWAY. Unfortunately because there was never a proscution for these murders there will never be a closure for anyone involved.

I am emailing Mardi. If nothing is done here, I suggest another Topix list be started, and with a moderator that can block unwanted people. Hang tight, everyone. Shirl, you are a very classy person, and it's in my utmost prayers that we will see closure on this case.

I was wondering the same thing, as I do not see the point in their leaving such tasteless and hurtful comments.

Never thought of it that way, Tim but could be. And it serves what purpose?? and yes Shirl Karma, I do know. I think these guys are on the wrong blog, they need to be ignored. I for one will give them no more energy... So keep on posting, we'll just ignore them. They are NOT going to ruin the good thing we've had going.
