The Haunted Fort?

Back around 1970-1971 - our family went on vacation up around around Mackinaw City - and our Dad took us to an attraction called "The Haunted Fort." Dad is not sure now exactly where it was located - I am guessing either Emmet County or Cheboygan County - but to this day I can find no reference to this attraction anywhere on the internet.

In any case, the Haunted Fort is a favorite childhood memory of mine - does anyone local know what happened to the Haunted Fort?

I remember seeing the crumbling facade for the Haunted Fort still standing there on US-23, near where Mill Creek Campground is, until about the late eighties, maybe early nineties. It was on the left side of the highway if you were going from Mackinaw City to Cheboygan. Over the years, trees grew in front, obstructing the view, but you could still see it. I think it was in operation until the mid eighties as I remember always asking my parents if we could stop. I have searched for info too, but no luck.
