This place has the worst reputation and after taking my child there several years ago I know why. They have been known to leave children in other parts of the building and forgetting about them!! My child came home with a sore head do to a worker shoving her in a chair and caused her to hit her head on a desk!! They have no control there and the people they hire are worthless!!! Stays lice infested also!! If you dont want your kid to get head lice dont go there!! They never check who picks up your child. I tested them myself and sent a family member in to pick up my child and they never checked the pick up list nor did they even notice someone else was picking them up!! I could go on and on really. Was very disatified with this daycare and pulled my child out and was done with them. Everyone I have talked to that has had their child there have many complaints and nothing good to say. The owner is known as a psycho and I hear she is heavily medicated!! Not someone I would recommend around any children!!

My friend used to take her children there & it was an ongoing nightmare. There's one thing in specific I will never forget it......We were at work in Charleston one day, & all of a sudden I heard her scream in panic. I ran to her office to check on her, & she was hysterical because they fed one of her kids peanut butter & he'd gone into anaphylactic shock. She constantly reiterated to them that he was allergic to peanut butter. Thank goodness her brother was home that day, & so close otherwise her little boy could of died. They called her at work, & never called an ambulance. If she would of had to come from Charleston to Cross Lanes, I'd hate to think of what the outcome would of been. Her brother had to pull over & give him an epipen before getting to Health Plus. My friend went in to discuss this with Pam, & I was told that she basically laughed it off & acted as though my friend was nuts for being so upset. She argued with my friend that there's no way that peanut butter caused that because there's not an allergy like that. My friend had to explain anaphylactic shock to her because she told her she'd never heard of it. My friend got online & printed all of the pertinent information she could find on this so that she could take it to Pam, & Pam wouldn't take it. We were surprised that a child care provider wasn't aware of this, & that they blatantly ignored what my friend told them. Also shocked that she would argue with a parent. I guess now that Pam's on her 6th husband, & it just so happens that he's a dr, that maybe he could fill her in on this very serious allergy. I also have another friend that used to take her daughter there & she said that some of the employee's flirt & try to hook up with some of the parents. She said that she knows for a fact of a couple girls hooking up with some of the dad's. When I've been there with my friend's when they were picking up their children the employees seemed rude like they're better. Very stuck up, & some were dressed inappropriately I do not recommend this place at all.

I'd believe she done this...she thinks just because her husband is Dr matusic that she is also a pediatrician, dumbass just because u sleep with one doesn't make u one! My relative had a similar problem-she goes to Dr matusic and he had switched his formula, well the next day she brings her son to daycare with the new formula and gets a call in the middle of the day that she needs to pick her kid up cause he is throwing up everything he eats, well she gets there and Pam had told the workers there to switch the kid back to the formula he was originally on, that he wasn't supposed to be on the formula the mother had brought for him that day-my relative and her baby was kicked out that same day for questioning her atthority! What a bitch!!!

What I posted is honestly the truth. This happened before Pam was married to Dr. Matusic. It upset all of us so much. When people ask for an opinion I try to mention what happened because my friend's little one was very lucky that day. I'd hate it if something would happen to someone else's child, & I didn't share this. That's why I felt like I needed to share.

I once worked for Pam at PJ's Preschool. Bettween 4/08-2/09. I don't believe I was there when a child was served pb incorrectly. I would remeber that. I just want to say that not all people that have or still work for PJ's are worthless. I am an advocate for early childhood education. I believe I was born to teach and care for children. I take m proffesion very seriously and the work I do with children. Also I will tell you that while EVERY childcare center has issues, PJ's is superior to other centers in the surronding area. I don't want to gossip but the TMY is far more horrible place for your children. Pam actually really does care about the children in her now 3 different childcare centers. She also pushed me and her other staff members into further our education and profesional development. It is horribly sad what happened to that little boy. There also is no excuse for somehing like that to happen, however there are far to many people who work in the childcare field that have no bussiness doing so. From my experiance Pam is a loving and wonderful person. I have no reason to be partial or to lie in this case. I no longer even reside in Kanawha co. I just feel that there is always more to every story. I hope that this is helpful to someone and bless all of you parents that have to struggle with childcare issues. I myself at one time had to trust the care of my daughter to strangers. I know how hard and scary it can be. Don't lose hope parents..... there really are alot of people out there that dedicate thier lives to helping you care for your children.

also there was no problem with head lice when I was there, Pam fired a woman when she found out she was on medication for anxiety and deppressionn (legally and ethically you should not be responsible for others if you are needing meds) so I don't think she would be firing people for something she does herself and lastly (speaking for myself only) I have had parents, grandparents aunts and uncles ( you name it) get angry with me for requesting identification when they picked up children. If I wasn't 100% sure I will never let a child leave and people are busy and rushed and don't like having to take the time for me to ID them. I did anyways because the children's saftey is always no 1 concern.

Water day at the daycare. Are you allowed to have standing water that the kids are in that is not being properly sanitized or filtered!?? That can't be allowed by licensing? My child was sick a few days later wonder if tha blow up pool with no Sanitizer in it was the problem?

My son had water day too and didn't get sick. Whether a kid is in water or walking around, germs are everywhere and kids get sick! Lighten up!

Wow. This place sounds horrible. Thanks for the warning!

As for "child care professional," I don't know how many employees she has, so the law may or may not apply to this situation, but it is highly unethical to fire someone for a medical condition or disability. Unless the worker in question was believed to be a danger to the children, she has no right to fire someone for being on medication for anxiety and depression.
Oh Thanks for the Info

Thanks for the info Child Care Profession. I didnt realize that is why she had let me go. She never told me that was the reason. But now that I know that and I now have this as some proof. I will be seeking an attorney. I will also have this thread pulled for IP information to have you questioned if need be. Thanks!!! By the way, your totally wrong to think that its not right for someone who is medicated legally and properly to care for someone. I know that I have a large backing when I say I would rather have a person who is legally medicated and properly medicated taking care of my child that someone who is mentally ill and unmedicated taking care of my child. DUH! No brainer there.

Umm lets see first, signing form after form because other children assault your child while they aren't paying attention

Bite marks on the back, and below her belly button, scratched her face, horrible rash, could tell they hadn't changed her all day.

They have you provide diapers for your child but will use them for other children,

Came home with a blood spot in her eye one day they didn't even say that anything happened.

They're a hindrance to potty training also
