Barrett Station, is full of great tradition and still has room to grow.I wish only that everyone that is a Barrett and like wise never forget to tell the story of "Black Folks," making it at a time when it was unspeakable. Don't let the next generation forget where they came from. Lets not separte the family and all the tradition

Barrett Station and McNair are two different little towns; both predominately black towns.

I was raised in Barrett Station and McNair was often a rival town; due to all the women in McNair was very fond of our men (smile)

However, both are filled with very common folk with values and morals. The towns stood still as time passed on; as I go back home, I'm very grateful for my roots, but very grateful that I've grown as well.

Are the pizza delivery people walking the streets, don't deliver there if it is so bad.
It is no different than any other part of Houston.

Barret Station is full of great heritage. As a matter of fact, the town has birth lawyers, doctors, engineers, and many other great professions. I have lived here for years, and enjoy being an educator here. We are blessed. And, by the way, the comment about the pizza delivery and crack heads seems to be a problem all over the nation. Also, powerful ministries are going forth in this town. We are blessed!

If all the "churches" in the community could come together and touch and agree according to the word of God the devil will have no place. We must work together to become the mighty army of God tearing down, strong holds, healing the sick and raising the dead. Despite of our denominations we all serve the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Their is power in the name of JESUS and strength in numbers! Until we learn to put our ego's aside and believe GOD for the impossible, things will remain the same. A thought to rememeber is "Change begins with our thoughts and is activated by our actions"! Only those who understand what spiritual warefare is can move forward to come against the spirits of devination, perversion, alcoholism, drugs, poverty, sickness, and disease. This only comes out by "fasting" and praying" continously until change is manifested in the earth!

as far as mcnair goes, the drug dealers need to be stopped by the community inhabitants. It is not safe for a pesrson to drive through and you all know that. Them crack heads walk right out in the middle of the street to cause you to stop and offer you crack. It does happen and you know it. I say do the surrounding communities a favor and level the hood.

the police call Mcnair CRACKNAIR, and will not even drive thru the congo looking shanty town unless there is several car loads of cops. the amulance will not go there with out police escort.----now barrett station thats a blight on humanity,it is worse than CRACKNAIR. what is sad is there are some good people living in both places, and are surrounded by the final results of lazy will not work drug dealing set on that fat ass gives me my government check savages. BARRETT has a name the cops call it (n) junction.

It seems a lot of people speak out of their ignorance instead of truth. I live in Crosby close to Barrett, and I have to say I am proud of our joint community. Both of my children have had the benefit of attending Schools where they sit and work and play with others of all different colors and never mention race. Crosby/Barrett is a unique community that is united in more ways than it is divided. People who live and grow up here know this and have seen the positive effects churches on both sides of HWY 90 have had. 99% of the people in this area would do what ever they can to help each other, I think we have heard to much from the 1% that don't know and don't care. God Bless.

I'm Harrison Barrett's great, great grand-daughter. Many of my family members still live in Barrett Station. I'm proud to be a part of such a rich heritage. God said that His faithfulness would reach to 1000 generations!
